Christian Counseling, Therapy & Medicine | The Other 6 Days | Episode 19

from The Other 6 Days · host Southwest Church

In episode 19 of the podcast, we hear about Ricky's top 3 greatest phobias and he shares some of the reasons why. We then jump into a conversation around the topic of counseling & therapy and why we believe having a gospel-centered counseling center at Southwest is so important. We dispel some of the negative stigmas surrounding counseling and explore some it's benefits within our own lives personally. Additionally, we take some time to discuss the topic of medication and medicine, it's pro's and con's and some ways we can look at this practically as well as through the lens of the gospel. Last, we discuss our hope & prayer for the Valley as a result of the counseling center and then offer some helpful information and resources before we close.   SHOW NOTES & RESOURCES:The Southwest Counseling Center Information - Call (760) 200-2000 & ask for our Counseling Center or email [email protected] substitutes for counseling, but great books:Emotionally Healthy Spirituality-Peter Scazzero (https://a.co/d/9kroFdr)The Voice of the Heart: A Call to Full Living - Chip Dodd (https://a.co/d/5UarkCK)For more information or to join the conversation, head over to https://southwestchurch.com/theother6days or email us at [email protected] US!Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/theother6dayspodcast/TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@theother6daysYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@theother6days
