Dr. Hines has pastored five churches and recently retired at Washington Baptist Church, where he served for 20 years. He is currently the interim pastor at Eastside Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC. Dr. Hines has also served as a Director of Missions and was the director of Pastoral Ministries for the SC Baptist Convention for two years.
