Christine Akon: On the pursuit for Empowerment & Gender Equality for Women in South Sudan

This podcast explores the challenges and triumphs of women's rights activism in South Sudan. We meet Christine Akon, a program manager in Women Empowerment Center in South Sudan (WECSS), under the Strengthening Women's Movement (SWoMo). The SWoMo project is working to empower women through education, healthcare access, and challenging harmful traditions. The SWoMo project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation & Development (Germany) (BMZ) across the 3 CARE networks; CARE Egypt, CARE Iraq, and CARE South Sudan.
