Christine met her husband at Stratton and got married at the Stratton base lodge, but that’s a story for a different podcast 🙂Stratton is a popular ski destination for families from nearby New York and New England since it’s southern Vermont and a bit more accessible.  Christine gives us the lay of the land at Stratton, which has two base areas (Snow Bowl and Sun Bowl). Weekends and holidays do get busy at Stratton and Christine recommends starting your day at Sun Bowl, which as the name implies is sunny and warm earlier in the day, and often less crowded. We talk about lodging, local markets, and all sorts of activities to do in Stratton and nearby Manchester, Vermont.  We learned all about the wide variety of learn to ski/board programs at Stratton, some of which you need to register for well before winter to secure a spot. Stratton has an 8 person gondola, high speed lifts and terrain for every ability. There is also tubing which is always a favorite, don’t forget to make a reservation.  In addition, Stratton has nordic skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling (for adults & kids). Get the Latest from StrattonWebsite:https://www.stratton.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/strattonresort/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/StrattonMountain/X: https://twitter.com/StrattonResortResources: Ski School ProgramsThe Patio Place and Ski Haus helps you make the most of outdoor living.
