Christine Olsen | THERAPY FOR MEN | MSW RSW | Olsen Psychotherapy  | 347 | thamichaelated Christine Olsen joins us Toniiiiiiiight in THA Schtudio as we dive into yet another intriguing episode and talk about mental health exclusively for men.  Christine pursued her Bachelor of Social work in 2013 from Lakehead University and then went on to do Masters in Social Work specializing in Mental Health from University of Toronto, since then she has been working effortlessly in the field of mental health specifically for men. She believes that even though the majority of the mental health issues that exist are common for all, there are some that are unique to men and are generally considered taboo because of toxic masculinity and societal norms.  She also spoke about how online counselling is a really effective method as she doesn't have to assume her client's situation or body language but she can simply ask them to be vocal about it therefore creating a path for a better conversation. Christine also writes blogs on her website along with various informative videos on her Instagram that have proven to be beneficial to her clients. We talked about the BEEF the recent Netflix series as well as the medical study of a man in his early 40’s with 90% percent of his brain gone. We dived into the meaning of Anger, son and father relationships and even depression caused by having a new born for men.
