Christmas at LifeWell — Peace

The second Christmas message turns to peace, beginning with the most unlikely witnesses to Jesus' arrival. In Luke 2 , the announcement comes to shepherds, people on the fringe of society whose testimony was not even valid in court. That detail, the teaching argues, shows the peace of God is for everyone. From Colossians 1:19-22 , the message traces how sin made us enemies of God and fractured our relationships with him, with others, and within ourselves. The child in the manger came for a purpose: to reconcile what sin had broken through his life and his blood shed on the cross. Peace, it clarifies, does not mean the absence of trouble but the presence of God within it. Those who have received reconciliation are called to extend it, picking up the phone, seeking or offering forgiveness, becoming peacemakers who reflect the Father.
