Christmas Calls You to Mission Day 4: Faith-Centered Living Devotional There’s a fundamental choice every believer must make: will you organize your faith around your life, or will you organize your life around your faith? Most of us start by trying to fit faith into the margins of an already busy schedule. We squeeze in church when convenient, pray when we remember, and serve when it doesn’t conflict with other plans. But this approach keeps faith as an accessory rather than the foundation. The wise men didn’t plan a quick detour to see Jesus—they reorganized their entire lives around finding Him. They left their comfortable positions, spent their resources, and invested months or even years in the journey. Their faith wasn’t a side hobby; it was their driving purpose. When you organize your life around your faith, everything changes. Your calendar reflects your priorities. Your spending aligns with your values. Your relationships are influenced by your mission. Your career becomes a platform for impact rather than just personal advancement. This doesn’t mean abandoning responsibility or living recklessly. It means making decisions through the lens of faith first. It means asking, ‘How can this serve God’s purposes?’ before asking, ‘How does this serve my purposes?’ This shift in perspective transforms ordinary living into extraordinary purpose.
