(Luke 2:6-7)  "While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." Worrying never solves tomorrow's problems, it only robs today of its peace. (Luke 21:34)  "Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap." 1. When circumstances are uncontrollable. 2. When people are unbearable. 3. When problems are unexplainable. Can we find a silent night?  (Isaiah 9:6)  "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.  And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (John 14:27 LB)  "I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart!  And the peace I give isn't fragile like the peace the world gives.  So don't be troubled or afraid." How can we have a silent night?  1.  Accept God's pardon. (Romans 5:1)  "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."                (Micah 7:18)  "Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives…You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy."  2.  Recognize God's presence. (Isaiah 26:3 NCV)  "You, Lord, give true peace to those who depend on you, because they trust you." (Romans 8:6)  "…the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace." (Psalm 46:1, 10)  "God is our refuge and strength, and ever-present help in trouble…Be still and know that I am God." 3.  Obey God's principles. (Psalm 119:165)  "Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble." 4.  Trust God's plan. (Proverbs 3:5-6)  "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Philippians 4:11-12)  "…I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.  I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want."                5.  Ask for God's provision. (Philippians 4:6-7 LB)  "Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank Him for His answers.  If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand."  For more information on the vision of Freedom Church, please visit our website at www.freedom-church.org.
