Christmas Eve at the Surf: A New Vision of Beauty

Celebrate Christmas Eve 2025 with Zion • Clear Lake as we gather for a special "Church at the Surf" service! We all love the comfort of a Hallmark Christmas movie—the small-town charm, the predictable romance, and the "perfect" snowy ending. But as Pastor Jason explores in this message, we don't live in a Hallmark world. Our reality is often a "tangled mess" of conflicting definitions of peace, joy, and truth. Drawing from our series, Whatever is Beautiful, we look at Philippians 4:8 through the lens of the Incarnation. Christmas is the moment God stepped into our messy, chaotic reality—not as a warrior king, but as a vulnerable baby in a manger. In this Christmas Eve message, we explore: • The Hallmark vs. Reality: Why the world’s version of "Peace on Earth" often falls short. • The Tangled Mess: How human attempts to define love and truth lead to confusion, and how God begins to untangle them. • Philippians 2 & 4: Seeing the birth of Jesus as the ultimate example of what is Noble, Right, Pure, and Lovely. • Immanuel: What it truly means to have "God with us" in the middle of our brokenness. Join us as we treasure and ponder the beauty of a God who isn't afraid to get His hands dirty to make something beautiful out of our lives.
