So, Marissa, what talking points do you want to hit on in this week's episode? Well, Jackie, let's talk about how the film addresses the patriarchy. Ooh, and representation of marginalized people. Ooh, ooh, and even philosophical ramifications of good versus evil and horror.
We can point out the triangle boobs, talk about the blood splatter, and ugh, the practical effects. Ugh. And also the male gaze? My gaze at the males.

In Happy Christmas from horror movie Night. This week, because of the anniversaries, we ended up on Christmas Evil from 1980. Yes! A film that Scott seems to have thought was on my long list, but I actually thought that this movie was a little bit too dark and fucked up and psychological horror for the fun that we do on this show, but John Waters says it's the greatest Christmas movie ever made.
So, I feel like that's enough of a sign off here. I like this movie because it reminds us that the biggest evil at Christmas time is, in fact, capitalism. Yes! Yes!
It sure is. But yeah, Kyle and I were texting because I think we both enjoyed this movie. Not that I think, I mean, I can't speak for Scott, but I don't think you hate it this movie, but I definitely don't think this is going in your elves in the Silent Night Deadly Night rotation. I was saying to Kyle that it's something I find very charming about this movie is that it does check all the boxes that you expect in a Christmas horror movie.
Like it is a guy in a Santa costume. He eventually snaps. He kills people. It's pretty gnarly when you watch him kill people.
But what this does that I think is a little bit different is like in almost all those movies, it is a character who had a traumatic thing make him hate Christmas and that is like his breaking point. And this one, it's almost like it's still trying to do a Christmas morality tale within a Christmas movie because it's literally people not doing the things you're supposed to do at Christmas of like Goodwill towards your fellow man and stuff. That is his ultimate trigger. Yeah.
But let's be real here. It's also people having sex. He really hates that. He's not been.
But not. I mean, he handles it better than Ricky. Sure. That's not saying a whole lot.
But yeah, not a high bar. But I won't. I was still the thing that stays true here is sex is. It's not allowed to fuck everybody knows that.
No, no, I mean, that's why you don't have no kids. Yeah. All right. So we begin the movie on Christmas Eve, 1947 when two brothers and their mom watch a man enter the house of Santa Claus.
The older brother Henry, however, does not realize that Santa is just his dad in disguise. And I made one note here. They have a whole last hand washing station and shit out there for Santa. That's such a weird little addition.
I thought it was hilarious. I was like, what was the most that you ever did for Santa? Literally. We didn't know him because he's like, you know, I was like, you know, he's literally the variety, which now I realize my dad dictated this, obviously.
But as a kid, like, sometimes it was freshly made chocolate chip cookies from the oven and other times we just tossed a couple of double stuffs on a plate. And I think it really was just whatever pop was feeling that that day. You know what I think? I would really like it's a couple of those double stuffs on a plate.
I heard down the street, like I said, it's a whole bunch of chips. I was trying to get some variety up in here. And that night, Henry sees Santa being intimate with his mother, which causes him to run to the attic where he smashes a snow globe and cuts himself in the hand with one of the shards. Then we jump to present day, 1980, an adult Harry is a full-blown Christmas adult, and I can relate.
He sleeps in the Santa pajamas, listens to Christmas music all day long, and he spies on the neighborhood children to make a list of who's doing good and bad behavior. Like all of us Christmas adults do. He also works at the Jolly Dreams Toy Factory, where he is made fun of for carrying just a bit too much about toy quality and other things. One day, one of his co-workers, Frank, asks him to cover his ship so he can be with his family for Thanksgiving.
But on the way home that night, Harry sees that Frank is drinking out drinking with his friends at a local bar. Frustrated by this, he runs home and destroys one of the figures in his dollhouse while humming Santa Claus is coming to town. He then spies on his brother's family before canceling their Thanksgiving dinner plans. Obviously, our main character, Harry, is a little unhinged.
But, goddamn it, if the kids in the neighborhood don't love his Christmas spirit, because we get this scene where he's walking home and all the kids are talking to him about Christmas, and we get one of my favorite lines because there's this one kid who's just a real piece of shit. And the girl's like, I want a dolly for Christmas. And he's like, oh, maybe if you're good, say I don't want to get you one of those. And the other one's like, I want a rocket ship or whatever.
And the one kid just goes, I want a lifetime subscription to Penthouse Magazine. He's like, I want to hear the records. He literally stops what he's doing. And he pays a little visit to this kid.
And he freaks this kid out so much that his mom smacks the shit out of him. Like, I was taking a back by this smack to this kid's face. That happens. That wasn't like that.
That wasn't like that. That was a what the fuck? Oh, I was right at the 13th. And the woman who plays Mrs.
Boy, he's like smack the shit out of Annie or Alice. And they're like, we don't do that in movies. We don't do that in movies. Well, also, I mean, seasonally appropriate.
Just a couple of years ago, we did Scrooge where Bill Mary went to the emergency room. Yeah. Because Carol King ripped his lip, pulling it into one seat. Yeah.
She's the ghost of the Christmas present. I didn't know that. She also can cuss him with the toaster. She was, he told her not to hold back and she chose not to hold back and then they lost a couple shoot.
It is really funny because that in that movie, I remember being like, ouch. Like, she is like ferocious. Yeah. She's great.
Well, Harry goes to the office Christmas party where the owner, Mr. Wiseman, announces that the company will donate toys to the children at the local hospital, provide it that production increases and that the employees contribute some of their own money. Dude, so also, also he's anti-union. And I'm really anti-union, which was maybe a downfall to his character, not the boss.
Harry. Thank you, Harry. Harry is like naively anti-union, which I did not care for, but that's okay. But Harry.
Harry does sniff some suspicion from this and he's like, well, how many toys are we donating to the hospital? And this is when he finds out that this entire donation plan is really kind of a scheme to fix the company's overhead a little bit. I remember a friend pointed this out to me the other day where I'm sure it's everywhere, but in Pennsylvania, you can't pay with a card on any self-checkout machine without it being like, do you want to round up to the nearest dollar for a donation to like, insert charity here? Like, it's constantly charity things.
And like the main one that I always say that is, wah-wah. And my friend who worked for wah-wah was like, do you realize that they already made that donation and they're basically asking you to pay them back for the donation? No, no, no, they didn't even donation, dude. They take the money that you give them and then they write it off as a tax credit.
It's fucked up. And they use your, they use this like social, it's just a fucking thing. It's not virtually single thing. It's the only thing that goes to that.
It makes you feel guilty about it, which is why he is. I don't own the money because like, oh, you want to give kids with cancer money. You want to help dogs and cats in need. And you're like, of course I do, but not like this.
Just round up. Now I literally only use it if I'm paying in cash and don't want to be burdened with like a dime nickel in some pennies in my pocket. I'll be like, listen, I'll kick the machine for more. That's what I'm about to say, man, is I like literally 10 days ago, I finally rolled all of the change in the house and I took it to the bank.
$36 that I didn't have. That's not bad. I don't use change anymore. So like, that's a $36 to allow you to unroll the change.
No, absolutely not. That's not, no, dude, this is, this is so stupid. It's, it's, it's a tangent, but they, I rolled, Hunter was off from school one day and I was like, dude, you have money in your bank. Like we were talking about like rolling coins.
We thought it would be like a fun like little life, you know, lifestyle thing, but also we'll go get a toy with like what you got in your bank, right? Like it'll be a fun way to kill like two hours and we roll the coins for the half hour, we bring them to the bank and the one, the bank tellers just like, oh, we don't do that anymore. I was like, what do you mean? I'll do that.
She was like, okay, if you can just put them in a bag and we'll just dump them in the machine and we'll just give you a, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I'm like, here's my slip. So, the bank doesn't take a, you know, the bank doesn't take a cut or anything. They just, they just have the machine and that's what they do. So, I was like, it would be fun for them and they wanted it less convenient.
Yeah, and I was like, fuck you. But it turns out it was, I was actually 27 cents short. So they also didn't give me, you know, they weren't forking over an extra 27 cents to the TK fund. So, they ended up being, ended up working out in their favor.
Anyway, I digress, fuck that and continue on, man. This is kind of the final straw for Harry when he realizes that even, but you didn't even mention the fact that George, the, the guy that. Oh yeah, the new, the training executive. Yes, he's like, oh, he's a young, he's a bright young, bright young man.
I'm like look at that fucking hairline that dude is not young. Yeah Is the one you're like the entire fucking movie which like I'm not saying why they're saying that anyway because you have to imagine He was like tenish in the beginning and it's thirty three years like he is in his 40 something Yeah, he's like you minimum this young man like the people talking are younger than the fucking Harry anyway, so Harry gets fed up he Stills a shit ton of toys from work and he shoves him in some bags and he fills other bags with dirt and on Christmas Eve He glues a Santa beer to his face and begins to Like he actually thinks he's Santa Claus suddenly he puts on the suit And he starts breaking into houses and leaving toys under the trees of the good kids and leaving giant bags of dirt for the bad kids He even stops by the hospital and drops off a ton of toys Which the entire staff celebrates and like listen up until this point we are watching a magical Christmas movie This is this is George Bailey fighting capitalism right now, but then My double feature yeah, then on the street Harry begins to get taunted by a bunch of Wikipedia says teenagers these people are damn near 30 Oh, yeah, I didn't understand that because I read the Wikipedia first and I was like this could be good I guess I never read the Wikipedia multiple times for this and never watched it, but yeah, they're not teenagers I don't know They start picking on him and in a fit of rage he murders them and boy is this murder great He shoves a toy soldier in the one-doo's eye and then pulls out a hatchet and just starts chopping and for like 40 seconds we are watching like an Italian zombie movie the way that this hatches like coming down with these giant blood spurts and Headcracks is something to behold it is great Fresh off of a murder spree Harry has then pulled into a nearby Christmas party where people think that he's just a harmless Santa Claus And he like celebrates with them. He's dancing. He's given toys to all the kids.
He's living up very Polish Like it's a very Polish like yeah, what is that they are not like the VFW But like where they have focus in town like we have one like two towns over from us that is still hopping on Poconite and it's it looks glorious. I can only imagine what it's like on Christmas But Harry suddenly reminded about Frank's lie at Thanksgiving and decides that he's gonna get some revenge He's murdered once before why not why stop now? He breaks in the Frank's house and he Smothers on with a sack of gifts and then slices his neck from a Christmas tree star that for some reason is in the bedroom Which also Listen of all the people I've ever met in my life. I think you have the ability to be like oh, why is there a Christmas tree in their bedroom?
I know that there's a Christmas tree in your head. That's inconvenient Anyway, and then he leaves some toys for the kids Christmas morning his brother here's a Love and cherish those toys forever These murders and Harry's brother immediately is like Harry did this shit But Harry returns to the toy factory activates the assembly line and just breaks all of the toys because he could always consider them subpar His van gets stuck in the snow and he's distracted by this beautifully decorated street And that's when the residents of the town recognize him as the murderous Santa Claus And they basically form a torch bearing mob. Yes to him. He frees sign They franken sign him he flees to his van gets it out of the snow and drives So dope he was a man But also like how is it this hard to find a man who multiple people have been seen driving in a very quick to identify Sentence How do they not like they run he drives away from the mob and there's no like line of defense being like It was a way van with a sleigh painted on it He goes to his brother's house where he accuses his brother of being the root cause for all of his childhood trauma because it was his brother That revealed to him that Santa was actually their father This is when the brother knows for certain that Harry is the killer He chokes him until he's unconscious and throws him in the van to take him to the police But Harry wakes up punches Phil and drives off and the mob chases him until the van flies off of a bridge and then a Christmas miracle everybody The van sores towards the moon as someone raids the ending of the night before Christmas the end And that's my friends is Christmas evil from 1980 So the question becomes do you think that that was that it becomes supernatural at the end or literally he is Dying as he's flying over the bridge and he believes himself to be getting pulled to the moon by fucking The reindeer I think that we are seeing his view of things and he has been so off the deep end that he's not realizing his death He's not his fan of sizing about you know Santa in it up just because there's been like no other things in the movie to imply that he is Santa Claus So I think that this makes we've seen plenty of how he thinks he's Santa So it makes the most logistical sense for this to be like the final the final piece of his like fractured Fractured brain is him flying off but Kyle what I could be wrong here him flying off to the moon real or his brain as he dies Oh his brain as he dies, but wouldn't it be a beautiful Christmas miracle if it wasn't No, I think he's done for do you wait hold on did we discuss who his who Harry's is the actor did you feel it's weirdly familiar I couldn't piece it together who is mother fucking Fiona apples dad.
Oh, well, how do you Were you watching this being like bro looks like Fiona apples dad? They were they were two separate thoughts. I did not know who he was at all. He did not look familiar to me I looked him up and then I was like are you kidding me?
I was I was genuinely surprised I mean he's not a little baby then or no. Yes now. I did money to get famous Criminal doesn't work yeah criminal doesn't work without daddy Oh He got his start on Sesame Street, which I think does add Sesame Street in ten years later you watch one of the characters was that's me street as a murder it's Santa Claus Yeah, yeah pipeline that makes sense I kind of love that meanwhile in New Jersey summer so what talking points do you want to hit on in this week's episode? Well Jackie let's talk about how the film addresses the patriarchy oh and representation of marginalized people oh Oh, and even philosophical ramifications of good versus evil and hard we can point out the triangle boobs talk about the blood splatter and The practical effects And also the male gaze my gaze at the males From feminism to fan girling the Jersey goals cover all the bases apart from a woman's perspective new episodes are uploaded every other Sunday Just search Jersey goals to find us on social media and your favorite podcasting out Nutella resale is your premier collectibles toy and novelty retailer online at Rotella resale calm and Rotella resale calm find the best and hard to find I cast vehicles and live-action figures They have some of the most popular vinyl LPs zip-o-lighters and comics support the best artists with the rot t-shirts and posters you will find so much more at Rotella resale calm with free shipping on all orders in the United States use the promo code radio or 10% off your order visit Rotella resale calm that's ROTELA ALE Anyway unless anyone has additional thoughts that they want to throw out there about Christmas evil I think I'm ready to talk about my double features.
Yeah now I have to go for it Well real quick Matt. I'm sorry to interject here, but I had a question for Kyle okay Kyle in our group chat was talking about how he's Working on something he's writing something and this seemed like Very I don't know I can't quite I couldn't quite figure out what you were in planning So it kind of like was it was sparking something in your creativity Yeah, I think so what Matt alluded to at the beginning of this is is this idea of trying to do good in the face of something that is inherently Against you right like I think that Harry's Intentions and what all that he knows is to try to make Christmas work Right like all he's trying to do is make it work with the things that he's given with his generational trauma with his job Like with every all the tools that he has he's trying to make it click while also, you know believing the worst about something as well Like believing the worst about what happened to his like with his dad or with his brother Like all you know the other components that influenced his his life or I guess believing the best But then having a misconstrued notion about what that is and then finally breaking in the 11th hour to do something about it I don't know if you know me or any of my other work that might sound something along the lines of a short film that I did Call the woodsman that you should watch this Christmas season. It's available to the stream for free on YouTube but it just it was the character sort of study of it where it's not just a snapped Santa going crazy where there's actually There's actually some layers to it as goofy or as maybe not even as successful As they can be I was really I was taken aback by I forgot that that was a whole kind of component of this movie And I think because we watch a lot of crazy, you know I'd say to slashers someone more so that are sleazier I I just forgot who what was I get there was someone who reviewed this on Joe Lynch Joe Lynch reviewed this on Letterbox and he I think he summed it up really well Where is he said like this silent deadly night is what if Santa Claus was like Jason Boorhees? He's like Christmas evil is what if the taxi driver dressed like Santa Claus?
Yeah, that's a great way to describe it because it's it's a little I mean This is this is better shot than a low-budget 80s Independent movie should be like they really have these these establishing shots that really just like capture this Outside of New York part of New Jersey that's like industrialized and kind of gross You can see where this person's like not seeing Christmas magic and like going in It's I think it's a well-made movie. It is definitely not one that I'm gonna watch every year because it's slow It's dreary, but I do think it's where if people haven't seen this I do think it's worth watching But I'm gonna double feature it with one of the ones I watch every year that also I think tries to capture a little bit of Christmas magic in the horror silent like deadly night part 5 the toy maker The incestuous one good job. Yes. Yeah, it's not Christmas without that But but no I do think like cuz so much that movie like Mick Rooney's character talks about like the magic of opening toys under Like there's just a little bit more of like them trying to catch a spark of Christmas magic It gets buried in robot incest and Pinocchio allegory, but yeah, I think it's there It is trying to hold a little bit of Christmas to its heart along with the horror that I don't see and like I mean I love black Christmas well think black Christmas is trying to hold any Christmas magic to its heart while it's being made Can you imagine watching Christmas evil and black Christmas back-to-back?
Oh, that would be the dreary. Hardest fucking Christmas. That's a dreary double feature. Anyway, Kyle Scott who wants to go next?
I have okay. I have I have two don't open till Christmas is what I'm gonna go with. It's another Christmas Slasher It's easier. It's worry.
It's I don't even know if it would necessarily be good for the show Vinegar syndrome did put out that as well a couple Christmases ago And I remember being it being pretty gnarly so I think that it could be it might be grueling as well But at least it's sort of in the same you know black Christmas is really but it's like a great movie and really scary I don't think don't open till Christmas is very scary. I just think it's yucky and different, you know than some of the other Christmas slashes So and I'll say say my other one go ahead Scott I have two as well and neither of them are horror, but they feel Kind of gross and gritty from my childhood in a weird way But I'm gonna go with one that is probably a bit more palatable for everyone listening and then when Kyle's done with his other all just mention But Ernest saves Christmas. I don't know why but something about that movie just always felt cuz I watched a lot as a kid It just felt a little grimy and I don't know why Yeah, did you do another Ernest movie like a few weeks ago on a double feet like a double feature pick? It was scared stupid if you did was that with the witches oh Yeah, check the letterbox.
Yeah, I don't run the letterbox. Yes You can find us on letterbox at hmn podcast. Being naughty, sorry The other one I would feel like before Christmas would be a good pairing with this just another dad answer yeah Yeah, just another Santa like a creature who is dropping off toys in houses Yeah Around If you guys ever seen Santa Claus the movie from 1985 The Christmas monster Maybe I'll just sit and watch it this year too dude I grew up with it I still have the VHS copy that I grew up with and that's the other one that I wanted to mention is like it feels really slimy because I think it's because there's some sort of machine that makes the hey that the reindeer eat that makes them fly and Then they're using it to make candy canes and John Lithgow is like the evil businessman and then there's this part at the end where he's like Rabbidly eating these candy canes because I think he wants to fly or something and it's dark it's darker than to expect But also reminds me of weird The movie Alright, so what do you guys watch what did you read what you listen to what you want to talk about you man?
Yeah, I'll go real quick. I forget which of the YouTube many streaming apps it was on but drop Recently drops which is a very end-night Shyamalan style horror thriller The concept is about a woman who is on a first date and someone keeps air dropping her messages that there are Messed men inside of her house holding her babysitter and child hostage And if she does not drop a poison tablet in the drink of the van that she's meeting for her first date They will kill oh, yeah, dude. Yeah, it's okay. We think it's just called drop and it's it's not bad Like you know, I'm not sitting here saying hey, this is a five-star movie But for like an 85 minute like kind of throwback thriller horror film where you're like trying to solve the mystery and everybody in this Restaurants a suspect because they're sending her like pictures of herself at the table and stuff like that like it was a really cool concept and it does remind me a lot of like Early end night when he was at his best where it's like hey, here is a very simple premise that could happen like Getting a random airdrop is not an unheard of saying like how do we take this everyday occurrence and make the most terrifying version of it Yeah, I like throw it on one night when Barb was asleep because it was like this 80-minute movie just dropped on like peacock or paramount It's from the director of happy death day and freaky.
Yes, that's right Chris for London. I remember reading about this in thing gory. It sounded really interesting Especially as like sort of like a almost single location, but a lot of Yeah, mostly like a lot of you know, the ability to sort of see in different angles of the one location that aren't just a camera angle You know like the air dropping of the thing is kind of the interesting part of it It has some moments that remind me of the issues I had with the movie trap that M night did a couple years ago But this is a dramatically better version of what trap was trying to be you know, I mean because I was the same vibe for trap Single location guy knows that something's happening, but it has to keep everybody else. Yeah strong.
Yeah. Yeah, this is this is a much better version of that But yeah, god damn it It took me a second god damn it That's my that's my way to watch how about you guys go? Go ahead. Um, I watch so which I think that maybe what we'll talk about on the show I really didn't think that I was going that it was going to hit like it did.
I watched the night flyer Uh, Stephen came that's a cow pic. It's like I mean, they don't it's not really it hadn't been easily available for a long time I actually don't think instill is it was an HBO Movie and it didn't get a lot of good reviews, but Michael Ferreres in it and he's really great It's a fucking I'm not a vampire guy, but this is a good looking vampire. There's some really solid core It's a gross vampire This has been an almost horror movie night pick for the 10 years that we've been harming I'm yes, I would surprise that it hadn't been talked about because it does feel so much like something that we would talk about so Maybe look out for it next year. It's on my list I don't know if we'll get to it, especially because I like I just watched it But I do think I would watch it again because I also I also it was kind of background noise I kept catching myself getting lost in it Which was a good sign because a lot of that stuff I'm just putting on to like get through my collection And sometimes it is just background noise, but this kept catching my attention and um, it was fun The night flyer.
I don't know if you're gonna be able to find it. I had the snap case DVD. Um, yeah, so satisfying to close those Yeah, oh really? It's bad if they're still functional and they're still crisp really nice I do also want to just quick shout out on main menu loops or the tick-cock account that I post maybe a screens from Nightflyer blew up over this Halloween season and apparently so I have a couple people who follow that account that Alleged they were part of those companies are made those DVD menus and there's no reason for me not to believe them Um, but this one was like oh my god.
We made this one hated the movie But literally like to make the menu and it's just it's just so cool that somehow the you know These people who worked on these are finding them in this silly digital archive And the night flyer the menu is silly, but it was you know, it was an early early DVD for HBO. So good stuff A lot's got to take us home It's interesting that Kyle brings up a movie that Is potential hmm and fodder? because I started watching one that I Had found out about through probably some crazy instagram Real that I sent you guys And I was like this looks so bad that it could be awesome It was only an hour and 15 minutes and it was really hard to get through just because it's so It's so it's a little too much like waggly finger slapstick, you know Um, but Honestly, the script is so It's so good And I'm not telling you the name because I have to really get out all of the nice things before I tell you what it is until the listeners We're not gonna do it on the show. Um because it really doesn't have it also has not aged super well.
There are some A bit it's a little too much exploitation for me, but it's just some people that were like we're gonna make a I want to say it was like an sov almost kind of well, not it's not sov it's 2009 So it's past that but like everybody is in on the jokes, right? And whoever wrote the script the jokes are really really smart and clever But it's also sandwiched between the dumbest shit you can imagine So it's such a weird it is so weird because I watched blood glacier afterwards and that's why I watched a dubbed version of blood Great glacier because it's like a finish movie or something like that And I thought that it was I couldn't parse that it wasn't also a very tongue-in-cheek funny movie Um because blood glaciers trying to take itself seriously, it's bad I've seen it before I was literally just watching pieces of it to see the special effects because some I think it was some tiktok was like mentioning it and I'm like, I haven't thought about that Moving a long time. I wonder if it could be good for the show for for 26. It's not gonna be on the show ever Um anyway, the movie that I'm talking about that I watched the whole way through is terra blood fart lake now I watch it.
So I saw terra and blood fart lake on on a big screen in Syracuse, New York How big are we talking? No, I mean this is a movie house. This is the palace theater if wow so I'm I'm almost positive because it was a Chris. Oh my god.
What's a seaver? Chris. Yeah, he's a I believe is a New York central New York state New York filmmaker If not, maybe tips into a high camera where exactly he's from But he was having a like a screening and he was having like an anniversary party of his production company low budget picture Low budget pictures. Yeah, low budget pictures.
Yeah And that's the one that they played and I Chris Chris Has some really really funny things that then it's like just like you said get sandwiched in between Just like stuff that I could give a fuck about and that isn't funny to me It totally derails me from being part of it and of course this is all yes It's shot on a digital during the like in the day like everybody is just like, you know, there's no lights It's so done on like no money, but I did I saw this on a big screen I can tell you that they did a boom because they didn't actually have the ADR show which I was very impressed with Mm-hmm. No, he's been making movies this way for a very long. He still is he's still making movies in this way He actually even made like a very like 90 eight late eighties early 90s Visual styling of a like a mistake by the Beller and 90210 that he's been pedaling. He's comes to create a future weekend often Um, anyway, the I say that because the the thing about that screening was that this is also where I saw 35 millimeter print I'm never too young to die which I hope one day gets picked on the patreon because I will I want to talk about it so bad anyway Terror at blood fart lake.
I cannot believe that that is the fucking movie that you just said with your mouth So two things as you're talking. I'm doing some very quick research, right? First of all had to laugh letterbox top the most popular review of terror at blood fart lake is a one star review That just says do not ask me anything about this movie I think it's great, but the only person that I've seen the only person who's rated this movie is brian burger who gave it three stars The man brought us aunt farm Nicole And skee will cut with like tera blood fart lake walked so that dude wrote party massacre could fucking sprint into my heart But I didn't realize this is the director who did skee wolf, which was the movie brian burger wrote to us two years ago for Listen, I knew and this is it's so much more palatable than skee wolf Although I want to say that they probably use the same bands because the only thing that didn't suck about skee wolf when I watched Do we actually do it? No, or did I just watch it?
I just watched it? We were gonna do it so yeah, I've never seen it But the music is great because it's like, you know, it's it's a time capsule to like the end of the my space era Um, they're like three bands that put music out, um, you know on it and it's just It is I feel like it's such a millennial thing to want to and to watch that and enjoy it Um, I don't think that it would really It's it's not as watchable as sick. It's definitely not as watchable as as dude wrote party massacre But it they all share a common ancestor almost or maybe this is the ancestor But like they it's just like that kind of like very niche sub sub genre and while I didn't enjoy a whole lot of my watch When the when the dialogue was good. I was like, holy fuck like How does this part work?
And then the rest of this scene is just absolute shit It was really a very interesting watch not a recommend don't ask me anything about this movie Hey, man, I'd like my letterbox review Yeah, all right. I might watch it. I'm I'm just here in this hotel room, uh, alone tonight. So hey, how much worse did you like?
