Rev. Paul Seay is co-author of From Heaven to Earth: Christmas for New Believers, Old Believers, and Nonbelievers along with college friend and roommate Rev. Wil Cantrell. These days, Seay serves as pastor of Methodist Churches in Abingdon, Virginia. Cantrell serves as pastor of Concord United Methodist Church in Farragut, Tennessee. In this interview, prior to Christmas 2021, Seay addresses some significant questions about the Christmas story.. He reminds us that Jesus was a Jew and discusses the importance of that context, and he recognizes the incredulity of a virgin birth.
