Christmas specials: The battle of Alopecia - With Hannah

from Crohn's and Autism Awareness Advocate · host Mason Milne

In the first of the Christmas Specials episodes I am joined with fellow Multi Schools Council Ambassador Hannah she has been am ambassador for half a year, she saw Dilly's episode and really wanted to come on the podcast, this is a really good episode!  We talk about our hobbies we both really like Drama, so we do talk about that and how both of our medical conditions where impacted in that time period of doing Drama at school. Hannah, also likes skating and drawing especially drawing horses as she loves to get riding once a month.  We move on to talk about Mental Health a topic Hannah is passionate about it becasue the lockdowns was really hard loosing some friends and knowing who the true ones are. Hannah opens up about her Alopecia which is really inspirational of her. Mason and the listeners I think will learn one or two things from Hannah's journey, Hannah says there isn't a cure but the more we talk about it the more hopefully people will understand.  For anyone who doesn't what Alopecia we do cover it in the episode but it's when the Immune system attacks hair follicles which forces hair loss. Mason and Hannah share their respective journey's with hair loss in this festive episode.  We both talk about a recent talent show we was apart of Mason hosting and Hannah performing, Hannah admits she was nervous but enjoyed delivering her speech. We say we'd like a talent show each year which would get more people involved each year. We admit the Multi Schools Council is getting better all the time, now more than ever there is more meetings which is a good thing! Hannah gives some good advise, speak out and also wear wellies out there in the snow this Christmas! Great work and well done to Hannah on her first ever podcast!
