Preparing for Christmas takes so much time. The lights, the gifts, the parties…it is months of preparation before POOF-it’s done. Some Christian faiths extend the Christmas celebration to February 2nd which marks 40 days after Jesus was born. This significant date correlates with Luke 2:22-35 when Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus for the proper Jewish ceremonies of a new baby. But when there, a man named Simeon offered a whole new perspective. This child, the Messiah of God, wasn’t here just for Israel. He is going to save the entire world.--
