Santa Claus is Back in Town/Elvis Presley Rocking Around the Christmas Tree/Brenda Lee Getting Down For Xmas/Milly & Silly Funky Funky Christmas/Electric Jungle Christmas in Hollis/Run-D.M.C. Happy Holiday (Beef Wellington Remix)/Bing Crosby I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm (Stuhr Remix)/Kay Starr Let it Snow (Dj T.I.M.)/Dean Martin The Nutcracker Suite/Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Vacation Theme/Mavis Staples Jingle Bell Rock/Bobby Helms Santa Baby/Madonna Walking in a Winter Wonderland/Dean Martin Feliz Navidad/Jose Feliciano Blue Christmas/Elvis Presley Happy Xmas/John Lennon Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas/Bing Crosby Go Power at Christmas Time/James Brown Merry Christmas everybody! Please enjoy this Christmas mix; it has some classics, some remixes, and something funky. I love the first song by Elvis, the piano part is great and the lyrics crack me up. After Rocking around the Christmas Tree and a couple of funky tracks, Run-D.M.C. drops the beat. I’m really digging on the next couple of tracks, they’re classic Christmas songs remixed with smooth beats and a swing type sound. Dean Martin would have never believed the kind of sound Dj T.I.M. came up with for his remix of Let it Snow. I love how he keeps bringing in the original and then just rips it! I know it’s kind of hard for a Christmas mix, but I couldn’t resist. After borderline busting speaker systems, I bring it down some with a short cut from Brian Setzer’s version of the Nutcracker Suite. Nothing says Christmas like Clark Griswold and Cousin Eddy plus I just like this song. The next few songs are classics, followed by Feliz Navidad, which I’m sure not everyone likes. I remember listening to Blue Christmas when I was a kid and I just don’t think you can knock Elvis, he was The King. I saved a special song for the last track, John Lennon’s Happy Christmas, followed by a double outro with James Brown telling everybody to “go on and do your thing.” Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to All!!! Watch for new mixes and some shows in 2011…be happy
