    Chritmas 2010 12-22-2010 Clint McLeroy

Santa Claus is Back in Town/Elvis Presley Rocking Around the Christmas Tree/Brenda Lee Getting Down For Xmas/Milly & Silly Funky Funky Christmas/Electric Jungle Christmas in Hollis/Run-D.M.C. Happy Holiday (Beef Wellington Remix)/Bing Crosby I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm (Stuhr Remix)/Kay Starr Let it Snow (Dj T.I.M.)/Dean Martin The Nutcracker Suite/Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Vacation Theme/Mavis Staples Jingle Bell Rock/Bobby Helms Santa Baby/Madonna Walking in a Winter Wonderland/Dean Martin Feliz Navidad/Jose Feliciano Blue Christmas/Elvis Presley Happy Xmas/John Lennon Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas/Bing Crosby Go Power at Christmas Time/James Brown Merry Christmas everybody! Please enjoy this Christmas mix; it has some classics, some remixes, and something funky. I love the first song by Elvis, the piano part is great and the lyrics crack me up. After Rocking around the Christmas Tree and a couple of funky tracks, Run-D.M.C. drops the beat. I’m really digging on the next couple of tracks, they’re classic Christmas songs remixed with smooth beats and a swing type sound. Dean Martin would have never believed the kind of sound Dj T.I.M. came up with for his remix of Let it Snow. I love how he keeps bringing in the original and then just rips it! I know it’s kind of hard for a Christmas mix, but I couldn’t resist. After borderline busting speaker systems, I bring it down some with a short cut from Brian Setzer’s version of the Nutcracker Suite. Nothing says Christmas like Clark Griswold and Cousin Eddy plus I just like this song. The next few songs are classics, followed by Feliz Navidad, which I’m sure not everyone likes. I remember listening to Blue Christmas when I was a kid and I just don’t think you can knock Elvis, he was The King. I saved a special song for the last track, John Lennon’s Happy Christmas, followed by a double outro with James Brown telling everybody to “go on and do your thing.” Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to All!!! Watch for new mixes and some shows in 2011…be happy

Encore-Dubstep, Electro, Beautiful Female Vocals 12-8-2010 Clint McLeroy

In for the Kill(Skream's Let's Get Ravey Remix)/La Roux Science of Fear(The Count(aka Hervé) 'Medusa' Remix/The Temper Trap Fools Rhythm/Two Fingers(Ninja Tune XX) Midnight Girlfriend/St Andrew Raise Your Weapon(Original Mix)/Deadmau5 Gimme Shelter(Zeds Dead Remix)/Rolling Stones These were some of the songs I had left over from the Halloween party. I actually got to play the Science of Fear as an encore at the end of the Monster Mash. I snuck it in right at the last minute before Chad had to flagged me down. The In for the Kill Remix really showcases La Roux's voice, it starts off slow then bangs mighty heavy to say the least. The Temper Trap song rocks the dubstep and electro sounds followed by a new track from the classic Ninja Tune label. My favorite track from this mix; Midnight Girlfriend starts with a sweet melody, then it throws down quiet a surprise when the beat drops. Raise Your Weapon has such beautiful vocals and a new dubstep sound from Deadmau5. This track is from his new album and it is really cool to hear such a talented artist write new songs with other realms of sounds. Just beginning to showing his range, this song is a good indicator that his new stuff is going to rock. Always loving classic rock tracks, Zeds Dead remix of the Rolling Stones' Gimme Shelter sounded just right to finish off this short mix. I hope you have enjoyed this, stay tuned from more mixes. Thanks for listening, Clint Peace and Love!

Monster Mash-First Set- Halloween Party @ The Brick 10-30-2010 Clint McLeroy

THX Intro/THX Dolby Digital Sound Test Spooky Night Sounds/Halloween Sound Effects The Phantom of the Cathedral/Ghostly Sounds Witchcraft: A Haunted House/Halloween Sound Effects The Munsters/50’s & 60’s hits by Jack Marshall The Dog/Whitey Herzogs The Addams Family/50’s & 60’s hits by Vic Mizzy Spooky/Dusty Springfield Twilight Zone/50’s & 60’s hits by Gregor F. Narholz (The Beginning of)Monster Mash/Bobby "Boris" Pickett and the Crypt-Kickers Stranglehold/Ted Nugent Eminence Front/The Who The Golden Road/The Grateful Dead Long Train Running/The Doobie Brothers Peace Frog /The Doors Psychodrag(Psycho Killer Remix)/Talking Heads Saw Red/Sublime (feat. Gwen Stefani) Who put that Donkey on the Dance Floor/Whitey Herzogs Rockit/Herbie Hancock Scorpio/Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five After Midnight Live/Pretty Lights The Ghost Inside/Broken Bells Reflections are Protection/La Roux B.o.B./ Nothin' On You (feat. Bruno Mars & Bei Maejor) (Villains Remix) Everything is Everything/Phoenix That Kind of Man/The Heavy Drive By/ Ferrari Sounds I am sure I scared everyone when the THX intro sound hit the speakers, because it was so loud. Owls’ hooting, crickets chirping, wolfs howling, cats screaming, organs playing, doors creaking, evil laughter, thunder cracking, wind blowing, and chains dragging start the night off; followed by several old theme songs and Dusty Springfield’s version of Spooky, with a sample from one of my favorite bands; The Whitey Herzogs song The Dog. Landing on 30 seconds of sound effects from the beginning of Monster Mash, I decided to bust the classic rocker to warm up the crowd at The Brick. Slowing bringing in Ted Nugent’s Stranglehold, cued around two minutes in, I thought it was a good fit and it really jams. Eminence Front by The Who rocks on in after Ted with a great sound and the lyrics, well; “Come and join the party dress to kill” have Halloween written all over them. The Grateful Dead’s Golden Road is another song that is talking about getting the party started with the Doobie Brothers and “Blood in the Streets” Peace Frog by The Doors get things going a bit more upbeat. The next song is an electro sounding remix of the Talking Heads Psycho Killer dropping right into Saw Red, a short ska/punk type track by Sublime featuring Gwen Stefani. Always trying to Rep my homies from Decatur, I start heading in a different direction with the Whitey Herzogs song Who put that Donkey on the Dance Floor. Herbie Hancock’s Rockit and Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five take it old school for all the breakers, poppers, and lockers. With Scorpio ending, the applause from New Years Eve in Chicago 2009 can be heard to the strumming of Pretty Lights After Midnight Live(recorded live at the Vic Theater in Chicago on 12/31/2009.) What a great song that I knew would be the highlight of the first set. An almost ten minute ripper with samples from The Allman Brothers Midnight Rider, JJ Cale’s After Midnight, and Gift of Gab all mashed up with the dopest beats from Pretty Lights. This song rocked and I know everyone enjoyed it. After rocking everyone out with “one more silver dollar” for ten minutes I knew it was time to play some newer tracks, dropping The Ghost Inside by Broken Bells chilled right into the smoke settling after that last song. Also, at this point Sunday Best is getting ready to take the stage and I wanted to play some songs that sound more like what they will be playing. With so many great new bands and songs I narrowed the end of my set down with La Roux, then B.o.B.’s Nothin' On You (feat. Bruno Mars & Bei Maejor) (Villains Remix) I really love this song ‘Beautiful Girls all over the World” that’s what’s up. This remix version has a really smooth beat that doesn’t get to crazy. Phoenix and The Heavy finish of my set, ending with the Ferrari drive by, I handed over the keys to Sunday Best… Happy Halloween!!!

Monster Mash-Second Set-Halloween Party @ The Brick 10-30-2010 Clint McLeroy

1, 2 Freddy’s Coming for You/Nightmare on Elm Street Friday the 13th Theme song/Harry Manfredini Monster Mash/Bobby "Boris" Pickett and the Crypt-Kickers The Prophet (Original Mix)/Gramatik I’m Doing my Thang (Original Mix)/Gramatik Unbelievable/Notorious B.I.G. Brass Monkey/Beastie Boys Push it/ Salt N Pepper I can see it in Your Face/Pretty Lights Total Fascination/Pretty Lights Coleen/ The Heavy Thunder Forward & Backward/Sound Effects Second set creeps in with 1, 2 Freddy’s coming for you and Friday the 13th. This plays into the theme of the party; Bobby “Boris” Pickett and the Crypt-Kickers/Monster Mash, a timeless classic and just a really cool song. Following the intros, I wanted to slowly bring in some hip hop style beats. The Prophet (by Gramatik) is an awesome remix of Marvin Gaye’s Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler.) It starts off just like the original and when the beat drops it puts the crowd right in that groove. Following is another song by Gramatik that speaks for itself. Narrowing down so many songs to make this thirty minute second set, I decided on Unbelievable, because it is probably my favorite B.I.G. song and it goes great with I’m doing my thang. Brass Monkey and Push it are big bass rockers that never let anyone down and it’s always fun to play the old school; especially when it’s a theme party. Popping right in is change of pace with, I can see it in Your Face and Total Fascination (by Pretty Lights.) I’m not sure what everyone else thought about these two songs, but I think they were banging. (If you thought those songs were good and you haven’t seen Pretty Lights Live they ROCK! Defiantly check them out.) Total Fascination is the highlight song of this set. I love how it flows and after all the craziness the last minute slows down to an awesome keyboard bells type sound. After all the upbeat sounds, dropping Coleen (by The Heavy) seemed perfect to me. I love how it comes in with that heavy beat and the lyrics are great as well. It also has that hip hop type sound to finish of this set with some of the same type of sounds it started with. I also liked bringing back a song from a band to get everyone ready to here Sunday Best ROCK! (Defiantly check them out as well!!!) Thunder Over and Out...

Monster Mash-Third Set-Halloween Party @ The Brick 10-30-2010 Clint McLeroy

Another Brick in the Wall (Part One)/Pink Floyd Thunder and Creepy Sounds/Halloween Sound Effects Thriller/Michael Jackson Ghosts N Stuff (Hard intro Version)/Deadmau5 Warp 1.9/The Bloody Beetroots feat. Steve Aoki I’m in the House feat. Zuper Blaq[explicit]/Steve Aoki Basshead/Bassnectar Wildstyle Method/Bassnectar Bed Intruder Song feat. Kelly Dodson/Antoine Dodson How You Like Me Now?/The Heavy Peel Out/Ferrari Sounds Third set for the Monster Mash starts off with a tribute to The Brick Deli by Pink Floyd, followed by thunder and creepy sounds featuring the most recognizable Halloween organ song “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor” by Johann Sebastian Bach>flowing right into Thriller. Leading off from there is the Hard intro Version of Ghost N Stuff by Deadmau5, this features another ghostly organ song “Funeral March” by Frédéric Chopin. Once the beat drops on Ghost N Stuff it takes off leading to some heavy hitting electro songs “Warp 1.9” then “I’m in the House.” Having only thirty minutes to play this last set, I have squeezed in several different sounding songs from many genres. Sometimes mixing the different genres just doesn’t seem to work, but I feel this short set pulls together a great sound including lots of scary sounds for Halloween and plenty of bass rocking beats. Popping right into the Dubstep sound is “Basshead” and the highlight track of this set; a brand new one from Bassnectar; “Wildstyle Method.” This bangs all the way out until it creeps the crowd back down to some synthesizer sprays landing on the viral song of the year from right here in Huntsville, AL “Bed Intruder Song” by Antoine Dodson & The Gregory Brothers. After all the crazy bass sounds and beats, I know this one shocked the crowd because they didn’t expect “He’s climbing in your window.” Ha ha, I thought it was funny and it is a great song. Not to leave anyone hanging, the last song is a funky track by The Heavy “How You Like Me Now.” I think this was a great song to finish of my part of the show with the final sound of a Ferrari peeling out>>> Thanks to everyone in Sunday Best and everyone at The Brick Deli!!! You guys Rock!!! Clint…
