Oh, so frustrating! San Diego FC played their best match in over a month on Saturday night, led LAFC 2-0 after eighty minutes, and somehow settled for a 2-2 draw. Why? A confluence of misfortune, starting with captain Anibal Godoy being taken off the pitch just long enough for LAFC to use his missing presence and score their first goal of the match. Then, in his return to play after missing months with facial fractures, goalkeeper CJ Dos Santos was put in a difficult spot in the 94th minute, dove to gather the ball...and got KICKED IN THE FACE. AGAIN.
