Growing up in the West Indies "Matics", as he is often called was exposed to a world of music most people would never encounter. The Calypso's and Soca of his homeland, the Reggae, Dancehall and Salsa of his neighbouring islands combined with the burgeoning world presence of Hip-Hop in the early nineties, all came together to form something NEW, yet familiar.
