Chronic Fatigue, Leaving The Marines, And An 18-Day Water Fast (Pt 1) w/ Michael Vasconez

from The Health Detective Podcast by Functional Diagnostic Nutrition · host Reed Davis

Imagine being so fatigued that you can barely do something as simple as check the mail... Or being so sick that you can no longer serve in the military, even though you coached martial arts just a short time ago. For today's guest on The Health Detective Podcast, Michael Vasconez, these things were once a reality. Like so many people on our show, he had to try EVERYTHING conventional medicine had to offer before finally finding resolution in the world of functional/natural health! In this two part episode, we not only touch on the practical health principles Michael now applies to his life, but we also talk about how healing our relationships (with ourselves) can and will directly lead to the healing of our external relationships, as well as our physical health.  About Michael:  Michael began his journey as a coach at a young age by coaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing, and various other martial arts. He used martial arts as a way to reach kids who were in need of a positive activity to bring about positive transformation. Through proper education in the raw, living food lifestyle, realignment with his core values, and mentorship he is now a professional, certified coach who has dedicated his life to helping humanity. Michael is a professional lifestyle medicine and life coach. He earned a Lifestyle Medicine Certification from Hippocrates Health Institute and a Life Coaching diploma from Noble Manhattan USA. He is an accredited Practitioner Coach through the International Authority for Professional Coaching and Mentoring. Additionally, he graduated from the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans program from Purdue University, and is a member of the Semper Fi and America’s Fund Business Apprenticeship program. A few staples in his life for stabilization are the steady practice and study of Ashtanga yoga, mentorship from one of the closest people in his life, Taita Pedro, who is a traditional indigenous ancestral doctor, and continuing his education. Michael continues to seek self-improvement because he lives under the understanding that a candle’s light can only be as strong as the size of the flame.
