Chronicle 64: "Should've Known - The Murder of Alex Kogut"

This vulnerability becomes stark when young adults navigate relationships without the compass of prior experience. Think about it: this stage of life is often labeled in academic research as emerging adulthood, a time when they’re not quite kids, but not fully adults either, and they are just trying to figure things out. In this episode, I unravel the complexities surrounding this vulnerable age group through the story of 18-year-old college freshman Alexandra Kogut, who, for over a year, was in a seemingly picture-perfect relationship with 21-year-old Clayton Whittemore. While their friends and family perceived their relationship as flawless, the reality behind closed doors was far from it.
