Happy Pitcher’s Day to all those who celebrate! We start off the annual holiday with a visit from Mariners pitching coach PETE WOODWORTH. Pete recently caught a bullpen for Logan… how did that go? We get Woody’s thoughts on the dynamic duo- Kade Anderson and Ryan Sloan The pitching staff dealt with some health issues last season, how are they doing now? Jerry got a Ferrari for Christmas… Woody gives us the lowdown on newcomer Jose Ferrer. The Mariners have a lot of guys headed to the WBC, how does that affect Pete’s preparation for the season and does he have any concerns? Does Pete have his own rules for implementing the new challenge system? :30- MLB introduces the new challenge system this season, so we can’t help but wonder how the Mariners will use their challenges. Will Cal be the only one allowed to challenge? Will anyone (except Randy) be allowed to challenge? Should pitchers not be allowed to challenge? There’s a lot to consider. :45- Everyone is celebrating Pitcher’s Day, but there’s another annual tradition every year at Spring Training and it got accomplished last night.
