溫莎王朝是目前統治英國及其他大英國協王國的王室。溫莎王朝的歷史可以追溯到1917年。在第一次世界大戰期間，由於英國與德國處於敵對狀態，當時的英國國王喬治五世決定將王室原有的德國姓氏「薩克森-科堡-哥達」(Saxe-Coburg and Gotha) 改為更具英國特色的「溫莎」，取自著名的溫莎城堡，以示與德國的徹底切割。
