Chupke Chupke (1975)
from First Day Last Show
This episode is dedicated to one of our all time favorite performers - Dharmendra. We have chosen Chupke Chupke as the film of choice to pay our tribute to the late actor who recently passed away. Chupke Chupke is one of many excellent films directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee which can be described as part of his slice of life films. The film is considered an all time classic and will appear in most lists for best Hindi comedies. The film also stars Sharmila Tagore, Om Prakash. Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan and Asrani. Dharmendra is in top form here with Om Prakash as their comic timing is on full display. Saahil rates the film in his top five comedies of all time. Please tune in and let us know if the film has aged well with all its social commentary which still holds water after five decades.
