What is the Gospel? The Gospel is the good news that God the Father, in and through the Person and work of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, has adopted us, justified us, is changing us, and will glorify us for His glory and our good. What is the Church? The Church is the Gospel on display! What is Church Membership? Church membership is a formal, committed relationship between a Christian and a local church, marked by the Christian's submission to the church's care and authority, while the church affirms and oversees the Christian's discipleship. Why are they important? When people are not committed to a local church, discipleship stagnates. Taking part in worship, fellowship, and service, as well as being actively involved in the local church, is crucial for thriving discipleship. This allows us to receive biblical guidance, observe godly examples, and experience the transformative power of a covenantal Christian community.
