This is especially true when it comes down to church. You see, it doesn’t really matter what you and I think a church ought to be because it was Jesus who laid its foundation and clearly defines who we are and what we’re supposed to do. No matter how cool the music is or how amazing the preacher, if we ignore how Jesus defines our life together, then we have utterly failed as a church. I hope you can join us as we sit at the feet of Jesus and He takes us to church.Series: WE ARE THE CHURCHThe Church today is suffering from memory loss, not amnesia, more like Alzheimer’s.  When a person has amnesia, they lose short-term memory but maintain a basic knowledge of their identity and are able to function. But Alzheimer’s slowly takes away the memory of how to function and identity. Unlike the amnesia victim, someone with Alzheimer’s may not even realize something is wrong. Without periodic reminders, we all too soon forget who we are called to be and what we are called to do as Christ-followers – members of His Church.
