Church shooting inferno and waterfront bar massacre — both suspects are disturbed war veterans

Police are investigating two separate mass shootings. In Michigan, the FBI says a man shot up a Mormon church and then set it on fire. Authorities killed the suspect — Thomas Jacob Sanford — who has been identified as an Iraq war veteran. In North Carolina, Nigel Edge is accused of shooting up a restaurant from a boat in what authorities are calling a “premeditated attack.” Edge told investigators he is a combat veteran.
