Churches Targeted in St. Louis Theft Spree | St. Louis News

Two churches in North St. Louis are victims of recent break-ins—first St. Matthew the Apostle Church, where a 46-year-old man allegedly stole HVAC parts and scrap metal, now facing charges and monitored GPS; then just weeks later, North City Church of Christ, where two suspects were caught on-site with tools and copper piping, charged with burglary and property damage, with one held without bail due to prior record. These disturbing incidents, occurring in different neighborhoods so close together, highlight a troubling pattern—and remind us that crimes against sacred spaces carry serious consequences for all.
