Cincinnati Business Talk#253 Dr. Pamela Dennis,Exit Signs- Selling Your Business

from Cincinnati Business Talk · host Mike Roth

Cincinnati Business Talk today talks to a successful consultant who sold her practice then wrote a book about how to do it. For 30 years, Dr. Pamela Dennis helped major organizations.  Today we'll tell a little of her story and talk about her book "Exit Signs".  The Expressay to Selling Your Company. Many owners dread the process of exit planning; they procrastinate, or see it as a sign of growing old or going out to pasture. As one owner said, “At least when you die, you don’t have to think about what you are going to do the next day.” Many, but not all, owners experience a gut-wrenching fear of irrelevance and loss of identity to avoid the anxiety; they put off planning for their exit for as long as possible. Of course, others simply don’t know how to start and what steps to follow even when they eagerly anticipate leaving. Exit Signs addresses these challenges and ensures business owners are able to successfully develop and execute their exit strategy. Using the analogy of a road trip, the book roadmap lays out three legs in the exit journey, each leading to a specific milestone. These legs provide directions, and detail the typical road hazards and potholes that owners face—and the routes around them. It contains proven information and practical tools essential for completing the journey. Each chapter ends with a Scenic Overlook: a set of worksheets that accelerate progress application of chapter content. The direct link of this show is http://tobtr.com/8070791
