Cinema Cinema - CCXMD

Brooklyn experimental punks Cinema Cinema present their fifth full-length, CCXMD. Delving into ambient and atmospheric free-jazz territories, the duo have invited reed aficionado Matt Dariau to join the group for a collaborative, entirely improvised affair. Here's what the experts at Aural Aggression have to say about CCXMD: “CINEMA CINEMA are following their creative urges and aren’t dictated by any perception of fan demands or dictates: they do what they do because they’re driven to do it, and certainly not because of any label or trend. And this is why CINEMA CINEMA are such an essential band, and why they’ll endure. They don’t give a fuck about what you’re into. They do their own thing. And that is art.” Our show playlist mixes tracks by Teen Mortgage on King Pizza Records, Skull Practitioners on In The Red Recordings, and Triggercut from Germany with three brand new tracks from CCXMD, the band's latest release.
