Circus Maximus

Come one, come all!  Step right up, Weirdos! We're going to the CIRCUS!! Yay!  But also YIKES because the circus is crazy effed up. This will be a two part episode and part one is focusing on the history of the circus and the sideshow (also known as the freakshow.) Today we'll be answering questions like: Where did this all start? Why are they in tents?  Who was the greatest showman on earth, I mean really? How far will our fascination for the human body reach? Who were the freaks and should we really call them that?  This episode is fairly light but next week we will be getting into the darker side of the circus and sideshow as we explore the performers, tragedies, and abuse within this famous past-time.
