Citizen's of Heaven

When my great grandfather immigrated from Sweden in 1911, He signed a declaration of intention that he was renouncing his allegiance and loyalty to the King of Sweden. In a similar fashion, when Christians accept Jesus as king of their lives, they too lay down allegiance and loyalty to the things that once ruled their life. Scripture goes so far as to call us “citizens of heaven.” But what does it look like to be a citizen of heaven while still residing on earth?
