City of God (2002 - Brazil) Primer

On this week's Vintage Cinema Rewind, Blake and Michael take a trip to the City of God: where divinity is in short supply. They meet all sorts of characters, including Rocket, a studious child with dreams of a better life, Li'l Zé, a young man with a precocious appetite for blood, and Benny, who is too kind and too charismatic for his particular line of work. Join them as they sit back and watch as all these different stories and lives unfurl around them. Can these characters escape their bleak and oppressive lives?
