Last time on Crown of the Kobold King, Scarab and Joq regroup after a failed mission and loss of Colonel Cobb Corn. Joq decides that adventuring is not for him. Scarab desperately started running around town looking for new employees to continue his mission. He met a dwarf named Rootmoore Redmane, who is here following the footsteps of his cousin, Druingar. A “human” woman named Monet also joins Scarab, and she too has a mysterious connection to the crucible ruins. Later at the crucible, Scarab leads his new party through a different path, and they find more dwarven remains, a dwarven clan dagger, and a hat that belongs to Druingar.
