Claire Snyman is an author, blogger and advocate for patient and healthcare collaboration. She is passionate about inspiring people to put their health in their own hands as a result of her own lived experience as an individual with a brain tumour and other chronic health conditions. She has co-authored a scientific study between neurosurgeons and patients and has developed The “TEAM Approach” to help people become more health confident in their health and health care. Claire is a TEDx Speaker, a member of the Canadian Medical Association’s Patient Voice and is always looking for ways to increase communication and collaboration between patients, families and caregivers and the healthcare system to improve the patient experience. Her books Two Steps Forward – Embracing life with a brain tumor and most recently published, How to Save your Life in a Complex Health Care System, can be purchased on Amazon.com.
