Clare County Council Urged To "Finish The Job" In Doolin

from Clare FM · host Clare FM

The local authority is being urged to "finish the job" on a heavily-trafficked route in the north of the county. Following the completion of the extension of the footpath from Fisher Street to Doolin Pier, Fine Gael Councillor Joe Garrihy has requested that the road be resurfaced along in conjunction with traffic calming measures. The West Clare Municipal District says these works aren't included in its 2026 programme but it will "endeavour to secure the necessary funding" at the "earliest available opportunity". Councillor Garrihy says it's an obvious next step.
