The Clare based Deputy Vice President of the Irish Road Haulage Association says they're taking some comfort from the Government's commitment to keep fuel supports under review. Fuel prices have begun to shoot up here again following the resumption of hostilities between the US and Iran, and the renewed blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Excise duty cuts introduced by the coailtion are due to be phased out by September, but Tánaiste Simon Harris has now indicated this will depend on the state of the conflict. Ennis Haulier Eugene Drennan says it's vital channels of dialogue remain open.
