Clarence Thomas Thanks Ted Cruz | US News

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas publicly thanked Senator Ted Cruz for standing by him and his wife, Ginni, amid years of intense scrutiny over financial disclosures and travel ties to conservative donor Harlan Crow—scrutiny that also targeted Ginni’s role in election-related events. Cruz, who recently defended Thomas against what he called politically motivated attacks, reciprocated the praise, highlighting Thomas’s resilience and intellectual depth. Their bond deepens as Cruz prepares to release his new biography, “Going Further: The Incomparable Clarence Thomas,” based on nine hours of interviews with the Justice—a testament to Thomas’s journey from segregation-era adversity to becoming the longest-serving Supreme Court justice, a living embodiment of the American Dream.
