We use and cherry pick some verses and make them say what we want. Yet, this life here is not about us, it is about Him and us telling them of Him. We have begun to think God wants us to have our "best" life here. That is not true, God wants us to live for Him here that many many more will go to Him and not to Hell. He never promised a rose garden, He promised they will hate us for they hated Him.
