Exterior, City Street, Night, A Quiet Night with very little foot traffic, a couple walks home from the bar while a man waits for the late night bus. Suddenly, a burglar alarm cuts the darkness and fills the city street. Interior, some kind of warehouse, Night. Four custom criminals look up from rummaging through shelves and boxes, surprise.
Adrenaline, a tough looking bruiser wearing a full-faced mask on the contubes from the back of his skull to a series of dials on his belt, is the group leader. He is no nonsense stature, hot-headed, and volatile in tone. Damn it, you idiots! Which one of you uses as hats set off the alarm?
Hurry up, find it first and grab whatever you want. Albedo, a man of average build, Link 20s. Where's the two-tone spandex outfit with intricate gauntlets? Well, not much use for the kids' gloves anymore, I guess.
He raises his hand and a blast of white-white energy fires on his palm and blasts a part of shelving unit, sending electronics and mechanical pieces scattering across the warehouse. We could have still been somewhat inconspicuous. Static, a woman with wild hair, a nice blue summer dress, and arms made of electricity, seers open a wooden crate with her fingers. Sparks inflames her ring up as she pushes her electric digits through the wood.
Mega Gouse, a younger girl wearing purple and silver, fresh-faced and inshir in her own skin, walks between the walls of shelving. She sees something high up on her shelf and excitements across her face. Mega Gouse makes a hand motion with a complicated piece of advanced tech, and a purple haze circles the object, carefully lifting it from the shelf and down into her hands. Perfect.
A dremel and starles, pleased. Grab what you wanted the way out. We have to get ghosts before. A thunderous boomer goes through the warehouse as a white street crashes from the open-loading dock, giving rise to a cloud of dust that fills the doorway.
I think you will find that customer service is much better during business hours. The dust settles, revealing clarity of the bell, standing in the doorway. She is a average build. Not overly chiseled or muscular.
She is wearing a blue spandex outfit, with white ootts, gloves, and undies over the spandex, and a golden white bell in Signia on her chest. She wears no mask, and her dark hair has clipped behind her ears and draped over her shoulders, her white cape flutters behind her. A dremel and left softly and steps forward slowly. I didn't want to do this.
I just wanted an easy in and out, but one of these dicks strips the alarm. A dremel and reaches down to flip switches and turn knobs on his belt, and spins his arm around like one does to stretch before a workout. I guess nothing comes easy. A dremel and charges forward, fist raise, ready to throw a punch.
Bell drops into a defensive fighting stance, ready to deliver a pre-emptive strike, when signing a white hot energy beam from a beat-onux bell out of her stance. A dremel and connects immediately after, with a hard right cross to clear a gills face. The punch sends her flying into a wall of shells on the mechanical parts. Bell rebounds from the rubble quickly, flying like a bullet towards adrenaline, landing a heavy blow to his jaw, staggering him, and dropping into one knee.
Another blast from Elvido, stronger this time in double the size, pushes Bell through a garage door out to the street and into a dumpster, her body leaving a deep indent in the metal. Bell's saggers through her feet. Elvido hops out of the loading dock, hands glowing and intensifying. There's more that came from.
Another bright white blast flows from Elvido directly into Clarity Bell's chest, a consistent stream pouring into her. Bell slides back on her feet, catches her grip, and slows her backward movement. She grits her teeth as she begins to walk forward, slowly at first, labored against the stream of energy. She walks step by step toward Elvido.
Elvido leans into the blast, increasing the intensity of the beam as Bell continues to stagger forward. She reaches through the beam and grips Elvido's hand, twisting his wrist. Elvido's beam stops as he drops to his knees in pain. I don't want to hurt you anymore.
You need to stop now. Satic approaches from behind Clarity Bell, placing electric hands on either side of Bell's head, electro-cuting her. Bell can vultures and pain and struggles to steady herself. Build your muscles, tighten.
Build your heart, struggle to beat. Clarity Bell, just barely beginning her composure. Throws her kick backwards, sending Satic flying away into a pile of garbage and metal trash cans. Seriously, you guys are wearing out my...
Clarity Bell is cut off by a large dumpster surrounded in a light purple aura, striking her out her feet. Mega Gouse floats into the alleyway, lifting the dumpster overhead with her magnetism. Bell stands and looks at Mega Gouse. I've never seen you before.
Let us go in the sense. You are outnumbered. There are four of us and one of you. How old are you?
How did you get mixed up in all of this? Let... us... go.
Mega Gouse wields the dumpster menacingly. Bell's size, exasperated. Okay, I guess we can continue this conversation after I end this. Bell takes a deep breath and lets out a fierce, sonic scream.
Clarity Bell's scream ripples the air at a focused beam towards Mega Gouse. Mega Gouse grasps her head in pain and falls through the ground, losing control of the dumpster and lighting it crash. Bell walks past Mega Gouse, writhing on the ground, still holding her ears. She approaches the entrance of the warehouse as adrenaline exits with her shoulder-mounted rocket ready to fire.
Bell stops. You can try that adrenaline, but know that I am fast. And if you do manage to hit me, know that you won't take me out completely. True.
Adrenaline turns and fires the rocket over the city at a 45-degree angle, then looks back to Bell. But who knows where it's going to land? Clarity Bell leaps to the air and chases the rocket. Leaving the party so soon.
Adrenaline yells as Bell flies away. Bell's horseroth air, following the trail of the rocket up and over the buildings. She grits her teeth and pushes herself, flying faster and faster until she sees the flame of the rocket in the distance. The rocket's arc begins to drop, and Clarity Bell flies as fast as she can, catching up to the rocket as its momentum dips, tipping it downward toward a residential area.
She grabs the rocket, pulling it into her body, and squeezes it. Bell is in the way of fiery explosion high above the city. Cut to, exterior, apartment rooftop, night. Here, a young Asian woman in a loose hoodie sits on top of the roof, drinking wine straight from the bottle.
An explosion from above startles her and she looks up. The fire disperses in a large cloud of smoke lingers. A moment passes and a limp figure cinched in smoking. Falls onto the roof of the trash.
Kira walks up to the figure consciously. It's Clarity Bell. Unconscious. Burnt.
And badly injured. Holy shit. Fade out. Fade in.
Interior. Apartment. Day. Kira is cooking in the kitchen, listening to Modern Pop.
Clarity Bell lays on a sofa covered in a blanket. Bell slowly rounds us, opens her eyes and sits up. What? What happened?
You blew up. I'm not going to leave you up there so I brought you inside. Bell struggles to stand. I'm not going to stop you.
I don't think I could, but I would recommend you hang out for a second. Bell realizes she isn't going to get far at the moment and sits back down. What's your name? Kira Moon.
You can call me Kira. It's nice to meet you Kira. My name is... Yeah, I know who you are.
I suppose you would. I don't want to burden you any more than I have to. I should go. No, no, no, it's no trouble at all.
I don't have any plans today. I mean, I know if you'd read both of us either way. What did you make? Kira looks into her pot for a moment.
Almost unsure herself. I guess. Bell looks strangely at Kira. In Kira's drugs.
Cut to. Interior. Same apartment. Later.
Kira places two bowls on her small table, only big enough for two chairs to fit around. Bell exits from a back room, adjusting an old light blue hoodie. I give you free reign of my closet and you pick that? It is in my color.
Your color? Yes. Light blue. Light blue and white.
Those are my colors. So you have to wear your colors? A pause. I suppose I don't have to.
We all just kind of do. You all just kind of do. Who all? My family and friends, I guess.
Oh, like other supers and capes. I suppose? Yes. Clarity Bell sits at the table with Kira.
So what you're saying is if someone paid enough attention to t-shirt colors, they could figure out secret identities? I suppose. Seems silly now that you pointed out. Never really thought about it before this.
Yeah. Maybe get different shirts. It doesn't bother me either way. I don't have a secret identity.
Really? Huh. I thought all the capes had some sort of family or corporation to run. Something or someone to protect by having big secrets.
A lot do, but I am not that interesting. I just have the hero business. Kira looks a bit sad for Bell. That's...well, you can keep that.
I don't wear it anymore anyway. What have likely gotten tossed soon, to be honest? Thank you. Also, thank you for helping me.
I appreciate it. I will get out of your way soon. I'm already beginning to feel better. I know you're looking to get out of here as soon as possible, but honestly, I'm enjoying this.
I don't really eat breakfast soup with a super everyday. It's a once in a lifetime experience for me. Bell sits a few spoonfuls of soup. Last night, I was trying to stop a robbery.
Yeah, warehouse district. It's on the local news sites. Kira scrolls through her phone. Also, on hero watch Twitters.
Quite a few people were tweeting hashtag clarity bell last night. I need to figure out what they're after. That has not been put on the social needs. I wouldn't think it would.
You never know. I've seen some people tweet some dumb shit. Thank you very much for the kindness and for the soup. You will be repaid, but I should at least try to figure out what they took before the trail goes cold.
Bell stands and heads towards the door. That makes sense. If you ever need anything, feel free to stop by. And if I'm not here, I'm likely at the shop on the corner downstairs.
It's where I work. Bell looks back at Kira and smiles. I may just do that. Cut to exterior.
Ice cream parlor. Night. A few hours later. Bell's voice plays over an exterior shot of the ice cream shop window, shining out into the night.
The records were a mess. They couldn't tell what was missing. Interior. Ice cream shop.
Continuous. Clarity Bell sits on a chair at a small ice cream shop table with a small cup of strawberry frozen yogurt. Kira sits on the counter next to the cash register, eating out of a large overflowing cup of ice cream. They didn't even know what they had in the first place.
That is ridiculous. No records or anything? No. They had a logbook.
It was months out of date written in such terrible handwriting that nothing could be made out of it regardless. Kira speaks with a large spoonful of ice cream in her mouth. Rij Bell, that's quite stupid. At least I had time to pick up another suit.
And you can call me Millie. Oh shit, is that your real name? Yes. Kind of.
But not really. I am an alien. Right, I knew that. My birth name is not pronounceable by humans, but when I came to this earth I chose Millie.
I like the sound of it. Fair enough. I really have a secret identity. Who calls you Millie?
My friends? Mostly? Oh shit, does that mean I'm friends with clarity, Belle? Yeah.
That is so fucking cool. You were my first friend that doesn't wear a cape in her spare time. Kira jumps onto the counter and wields her spoon like a sword. Well, the knight is young, citizen.
Bell chuckles and scurist arms around on the counter. Bell and Kira continue to laugh and talk when, oomph, a large explosion goes off across town. Bell looks over her shoulder out the window to the rising smoke and flames. I have to go.
Without further pause, Bell stands and flies out of the parlor and up into the night sky. Cut to, exterior, city street, night, a few moments ago. A chemical truck driving through the city. A cat runs out and the truck swerves to avoid it.
The truck tips one way and then the next. As the driver tries to get the truck back under control. The truck falls into its side and slides through a fire hydrant, crashing into a building. The chemicals pour out of the truck, inching toward the water gushing out of the hydrant.
The chemicals in the water barely touch and boom. The explosion consumes the truck and the buildings nearby. The truck and a good portion of the building are engulfed in flames. No officials are on the scene yet, but a small news group pulls up and begins rolling as clarity Bell, adding a fresh outfit, swoops down from the night sky and into the building.
A few moments later she breaks through a high level window carrying two people down to the street. Then she swoops back up and into the building again. Cut two, interior, secret hideout, night. It's a secluded place, the last place anyone would look.
A perfect place for a hideout. Adrenaline, static, elbido, and mega gouse sit casually around the room. A TV play is in the corner. On the TV, a news report comes on.
We take you now to breaking news. A large fire erupted just moments ago as a shipment of volatile chemicals crashed downtown. We now join Taylor, live on the scene. Thanks, Jeffy.
As you can see behind me, Cloudy Bell are right on the door and it's working to get everyone else rebuilding. Adrenaline stands and approaches the TV. The fire is running quickly and the reporter is cut off by a large explosion. Second night's splendor window for the building is consumed.
But last one seemed to get Cloudy Bell. She's still moving but we did not look good. Adrenaline mutes the television and turns to the rest of the crew. This is perfect.
We couldn't have planned it better. Things are looking up. What do you mean? He means we do the second job tonight.
Exactly. I wanted to wait a bit for the heat to die down. While she's occupied with that mess, we could just get it out. But we aren't exactly ready.
We haven't really made a plan or anything. Shouldn't be much of a problem. Eh, it'll be an old school smash and grab. And if she does show, we will finish.
Watch the fire started. Cut two, exterior, laboratory, night. A van pulls up to the front entrance. Adrenaline and crew pile out of the vehicle.
Mega Gouse, Obito. Sandwatch. Static and I are going to go get the next part. Static pushes her electric hand through a control panel in the front of the building.
The control panel shifts. Sparks fly. And the security door opens. Adrenaline and static disappear into the building.
Mega Gouse and Obito lean against the van and watch over the streets. So, you worked for this guy before? Oh, Adrenaline. I don't work for Adrenaline.
No, no. The buyer. The one who wants all this shit. Zero tolerance.
Well, kinda. I worked for the chaos committee before but not him specifically. Ah, okay. I hear he is a pretty bad guy.
I know that. But I do this for money. I like to make ends meet. Because it's what we have to do.
I mean, I've heard Zero tolerance is bad bad. He likes this kind of stuff. I wouldn't assume that all of us are in this because we have to be. Silence lingers for a bit.
Mega Gouse shifts awkwardly and Obito stares out to the distance. Soon. Guard duty sucks, huh? You're on Guard duty.
I have a babysitter. Excuse me? Look kid, you're new and untested. Adrenaline and I go way back.
And a good friend, Voucher Static. You? We don't know you. So I didn't want to risk you going in there.
And I'm here to make sure you don't fuck it up out here. I see a lot of wide-eyed baby crooks come in thinking they are the next big thing in Villainy. Just to get completely crushed on a job and go home crying. Never use their rad power ever again.
Look man, I sit down Clarity Bell. And she's in the Union of Heroes. Once. Call me when I adjust this dislocation jaw.
Oh, come now. I jaze like a brother to me. He's a heavy bear once you get to know him really. I would be more than happy to introduce you guys to him.
You just have to come with me. Mega Gouse ducks says she lives in the van from behind her. Possing it through the air and at Clarity Bell. Bell tries to catch the van.
But it is too heavy. And she is pushed back and down to the ground. Her boots punch deep into the ground as she lands. She is barely able to keep the van above her head, which suddenly glows bright.
Bell looks up to see a white beam of energy from Elbido pouring into the van, making it shake and glow. And boom. Elbido and Mega Gouse watch the fiery wreckage where Bell once stood. Do you think she is?
Dout it. I see her survive worse. Elbido fires another blast into the burning remnants of the van. Boom.
Another. Boom. Another. Dude.
I think that's enough. And you would be wrong. There is no limit to the... Elbido is cut off as a white and blue blur flies out of the fire and crashes into him.
Sending him tumbling across the parking lot. He is barely injured. Bell stands in his place. Mega Gouse looks around frantically for something metallic.
I wouldn't bother. Anything you grab is too far away to get here before I can make it to you. Can't blame a girl for trying, can ya? Elbido climbs to his feet and immediately fires another shot at Bell.
Bell dodges and breathes in deep. I think he will fire two more shots and grab his succession. Bell dodges both and opens her mouth to scream. Just before she can get the sound out, a lamppost hits her from behind, knocking her out balance, but not quite off her feet.
Bell turns and sees Mega Gouse. Her hand in the air, manipulating the floating lamppost. Bell lunges at Mega Gouse, who frantically tries to shift the lamppost between them. But Bell is too fast and pow.
Bell lands a heavy haymaker into the face of Mega Gouse. All sound drops out as Mega Gouse crumples to the ground. In slow motion. Or just slowly.
Mega Gouse loses track of time and the world goes blurry. She looks around, trying to gather her bearings. Flashes of light. Elbido?
He is shooting a lot, but the sounds are muffled. Everything is muffled. She can barely feel her own hands and has to look down to make sure they are still there. She struggles to focus.
Her vision is still blurred and her eyes wander around her head without her permission. She blinks hard once and it's a bit easier to focus. She blinks hard again. A bit clearer still.
Then again. Mega Gouse sits on the cold concrete as Elbido fires rapidly in the distance of Bell, keeping her dodging in at bay. Bell lunges in and hits Elbido hard in the chest. Elbido goes out fast.
Bell lands and stands over him. It's over. I wouldn't count us out completely. Adrenaline and static charge out of the lab.
Adrenaline with a large box under his arm. He tosses it down as the two run at Bell. Bell poises herself for a sonic scream, but weak blast from the down to Elbido is enough to distract her for just a moment. Adrenaline lands at White Cross and Bell stumbles back.
Static pounces and lands both of her electric arms, white into Bell's shoulders. It's time to fry. Bell yells on the maid. Then griss her teeth and grab static by the head, screaming directly at her face.
Static doubles to the ground and Adrenaline rushes in again with a right and a left. Bell staggers back. The last of her strength expended in her scream, and she begins fading fast. Another round of punches from Adrenaline brings Bell's humbling to the ground, rolling near the smolding wreckage of the van.
Now it's over, Bell. You know, it's your own hubris that got you here. Your stupid head is going to get you killed. Adrenaline walks slowly to the exploded shell of the van.
Bell tries to stand but can't muster the strength to do much more than hold up her head. After we met the first time, you could have called in the Calvary. In fact, we expected it. We planned for it.
We were going to lay low and wait till he died down. Even do this job smart and stealthy like. Adrenaline reaches into the wreckage and pulls out a broken axle. The faint sound of sirens can be heard in the distance.
But no, the mighty clarity Bell can handle a bunch of jumps like us. No problem, can she? That is going to be your last mistake. Killer.
Adrenaline steps over Bell, spear in hand, and points the tip down. The sirens grow closer. Run her throat. Goodbye, dear Bell.
Adrenaline raises the spear high above his head, as he's about to thrust it down, it is surrounded by a light purple glow. Adrenaline, stop. Let him put her down now. You better have a good reason, kid.
The police are almost here. Would you rather they spend their time caring for her or find her dead and chase us? You plan on killing an entire police force tonight? A pause.
You're right. It's your lucky day, Bell. Adrenaline tosses the axle to the ground. He is about to walk away, but gets cleared of Bell one last kick to the ribs before he turns and runs.
Bell closes her eyes as the sirens approach. Fade out. Fade in. Interior.
Hospital room. Well, Ms. Bell, from what we can gather, you seem all right. I am feeling a bit better.
I mean, you are still injured. We patched you up as best as we could manage, but as you know, we are by no means experts in your physiology. I have had worse. I'm sure.
Even still, I shouldn't let you leave on your own. Is there anyone you know in town, someone I should call for you? Bell almost has a name, then stops herself. She pauses for a moment.
Yes. I know someone. Cut to. Interior.
Here is apartment. Day. Bell is back in her gifted street clothes on the couch and looking a bit worse for the wear. Here enters with two cups of haco go and hands once a bell.
So you had them call me? Yeah. You are the only one I know in town. In town, yeah, but you know all of the Union of Heroes.
They can be almost anywhere from the satellite. Bell said she would go. Bell said she would go. When I landed here, I was 14 alone in an alien world with what you would consider superpowers.
I was taken in by the Cape community instantly. A small group of heroes found me and they kept me safe. Trained me on how to defend myself. By the time I was 16, I was in my own costume.
Flying around a city, punching others in costumes, I am good at it. Good enough to join the big leagues very early on. I am part of the biggest and most well respected team of heroes on the planet. My family, my friends, on Earth are all heroes.
I mean, I live on a satellite in space. I have been amongst idols and gods my whole life. I've saved people, but I don't know anything about them. You are my only...
Average friend? Yeah. Is that a bad thing to say? Not at all.
I can't lift a car or fly, dude. I am pretty average. You are human. Just human.
I think I could do well to get to know you better. Well, you are pretty lucky because you picked one of the most badass humans to get to know. Good to know. Speaking of the Union of Heroes, why not just call up Iron Justice and the other members to beam down and take on those guys?
It would be difficult for them to be on call like that. If I knew where adrenaline and his crew were holding up, it would be much easier. They keep popping up. How did you get the Union on short notice for a thing like this?
So you need to find their hideout. Easier said than done. I feel like I am just reaching it at this point. Not the best position to be in.
Just waiting for something to... Bell is interrupted by the ground shaking and a loud rumble. What the hell was that? When it rains a pours.
Bell opens Kira's window and flies out. She drops a bit but catches herself. When singing pain as she gains elevation. She flies between buildings and increases in speed.
After a sudden burst, she falls back and holds her side and look at pain across her face. As she crests over a building, she sees it. A gigantic metal man. Five stories tall.
Thrusting his hand through a building. Robotler. The gigantic robot fires a laser beam from its eyes into the street. Sending cars flying up in the air and flames.
Bell swoops in and lays a happy punch to the head of Robotler. Robotler turns to Bell and mechanical voice forms from deep inside. The robot's eyes glow and the large beam fires a bell. Bell swoops to dodge and beams nearly miss.
Bell dives in and gives a double boot kick to the cheek of the robot and the bot snails back. A pulse of energy emanates from the hot quickly. Bell is not backed by the wave and is thrown through her wall. Bell staggers to a feed.
The weight of the glass takes almost all of her energy. Cut to. Interior. Villains hideout.
Adrenaline, Elvido, Static and Mega Gouse are watching the battle on television. Nice. If he finishes her off, we won't have to worry about her anymore. Wish I was there to see it in person.
Mega Gouse watches the TV. I'm not sure if he's going to be in the game. I'm not sure if he's in the game. Wish I was there to see it in person.
Mega Gouse watches the TV with concern. That robot is. Probably going to kill her. We should have done it while we head to the opportunity.
Elvido and Adrenaline walk away while Static watches the TV anticipating the carnage. Mega Gouse bites her nails as she watches Bell struggle to fight Robatler. The worry grows on her face. Tension builds up inside of her.
She feels the need to do something. Cut to. Exterior. City street.
Bell crashes into the street. The concrete cracks and splinters. Bell climbs to her feet one more time. Her face is filled with determination.
At this point she is filled only by willpower. only by willpower. Robattler fires another beam of lasers into the crater where Bell is standing. Fire and shattered concrete burst into the air.
Once the laser stops, there is nothing but burned ground and rising smoke coming from the crater. Bell floats in the air in front of the robot, breathing heavily on the brink of collapse. She rushes forward with one last press and flies with both fists into the chest of the robot. The bot snuggles back as Bell throws another hitmaker followed by a white cross.
She dents the plating but can't seem to get through. She punches again and again. She drives the bot back a few more steps as her punches lose momentum and strength. One last meager thrust lands before Robattler reaches up and grabs her.
The robot grips her tightly and raises her up to a wide level. Robattler begins to squeeze Bell and she lets out an exasperated moment of pain. The moaning continues but raised in tone in intensity as the look of the feet on Bell's face turns to anger. She slowly eases into a scream and the scream gets louder and louder.
The robot hand begins to shake as the intensity grows. Nearby windows not yet broken shatter with force. As the scream reaches a fecal pitch the bot's visor cracks and Bell takes a deep breath. For a moment there's other silence in the streets.
With an earth shaking force the scream erupts from Bell. Ricks crumble and the robot's face cracks and shatters. The fist opens and Bell falls into the ground. The robot slumps and its systems go haywire.
Slowly gaining control Robattler speaks again but threw a heavily damaged in malfunctioning sound system. Robattler points his fist downward as rockets spring from the wrist. The gigantic fist detaches and launches quickly downward to grind Bell into the street. Just before it is able to crush her like a bug, the fist stops suddenly and she is from L.
The metal wrinkles and bends and bolts fly as the fist strikes an invisible barrier. The rockets continue to push the fist into the barrier. The barrier pushes back and the fist rises. The rocket's weaves and strain and sputter and die out as a pink purple aura surrounds the fist, crushing it into a mangled ball of scrap.
Bell says something looks back. Beggagav stands in the middle of the street. You got one more punch left in you? Beggagav makes a fist and holds it up, pointing it at the gigantic robot chest.
With a snap she opens her fingers wide and the chest play with the robot splits open, exposing its vulnerable core. I think I can manage one more? She staggers to her feet, takes a deep breath, and fires like a bullet into the exposed chest of the robot. Move the core and out of its back as an explosion consumes the robot.
Cut to, exterior, ice cream shop rooftop, day, Bell, Megagav and Kira all sit eating ice cream, feet dangling off the ledge. Ice cream is like the best substance on earth. One of them, yeah? I do quite enjoy it.
So, now that I told you where they are, are you going to take them out? No, I think I'll call in some friends to take care of the cleanup. Really? The Union?
You don't want to be there? You have the satisfaction of taking them down? Yes, the Union. So cool.
You don't want revenge? Adrenaline almost killed you? No, I have had enough punching for one week. I am over it.
There is a short silence as Bell stares off over the buildings, eating her ice cream. Megagav looks around sheepishly. I'm going to turn myself in. I'm glad to hear that.
No, I've really gone to the whole villain thing to hurt people. That would be a way to make some fast-using money. And I need it to. But I don't think it's worth the cost of the will turn me into them.
But crime never pays. It does sometimes. Well then. A long pause.
My mom died giving birth. My dad worked out to support us. He's an honest man. Never took shortcuts.
Never took the easy way. But he still got sick. And there's no one there to help him but me. There's a couple of jobs I pulled.
I earned more money in the couple of hours than he did in months of honest work. You know what? It was easy. Helped pay some of the medical pills.
I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Then he could be able to get it to the end of the starkness that we have been living in. Megagav looks at her bowl of ice cream that is starting to melt. And she spoons around the semi-CP globs, mixing the two flavors into one singular color.
It was hard to see him put together where the money was going to go. Harder to see him except that an honest man, first betrayed by his body and his daughter. So beaten down he was finally able to look the other way. Apparently all his honesty and hard work over the years didn't affect me.
As much as my weakness affected him. I accepted it too. But I can't kill. I would never have left to not let that happen.
Drowning his murderer. The three girls are silent for a long moment. You helped me. Twice.
You are also turning yourself in peacefully. I will talk to the judge. I'm sure I can help your case. I appreciate that.
No sure I deserve it. Bell looks out over the city. Everyone deserves a second chance. Cut to internal.
Satellite floating high above Earth. Clarity Bell and Kira walk together through the large and futuristic hallways. Kira takes in the sights frantically, like a child in a toy store. The two approach a large meeting hall with a tall bank of computer monitors on one side.
At the monitors is Iron Justice. A tall man in a red, blue and silver outfit. The silver sleeves and legs appear armor like he turns as they enter. Mel, Belle.
Uh. Bell and Iron Justice hug like old friends do. Kira still gocks around in wide-eyed amazement. How are things?
I haven't seen you around in a few days. I know. I know. I needed some time off the satellite.
I get that. Are you back then? Who is this? Iron Justice asks, gesturing to Kira.
This is Kira. She's a friend. It's an honor to meet you, sir. I really admire your work.
Kira, excited and overwhelmed at the same time. Rush is forward to shake IJ's hand. It's very nice to meet you, Kira. Any friend of Bell's is a friend of mine.
I need a few favors, IJ. Anything. You name it. I have had a rough couple of days.
I need a quick clean up of the guys I've been dealing with. Not a problem. C-Team should be returning from a call shortly. I can send them out as soon as they get back.
Also, can you look up this person? Bell hands Iron Justice to slip a paper. Of course. I will get it to you right away.
So are you back, Belle? The satellite is not the same without you around. It has only been a few days. I know, but we miss you already.
I will think about it. But I do need more time. Take as much time as you need. There will always be a spot for you here when you are ready.
Cut to back on Earth. Bell, in her civilian clothes, is sitting in the passenger seat of a moderately used Honda Civic as Kira drives. Bell watches out of the window as the trees whip past and the city gets further in the rear view mirror. It's up here.
Kira pulls into a parking space in the park. In the distance, Mega Gout sits on a bench. Bell gets out of the car and approaches Mega Gout's. I'm ready.
I'm not going to bring you in. Why not? I don't understand. Clarity Bell sits down next to Mega Gout's on the bench.
You are the only one who can take care of your father at this point. I will not punish him for the mistakes that you made. What if I was lying all about that? Who told you all that stuff so you let me go?
Pull out your heartstrings. Play the sympathy card. You were not lying. Don't you think I need to do the time?
I mean, I did the crime. I hope those, those terrible people with whatever they were planning. It is not that black and white. If I do take you in, your father will have no one left to take care of him.
But you will feel like you've paid society back. If I do not, you will still be able to care for him. But you will have to live with what you've done. And if I'm right, that might be even harder than any time you spend in a cell.
Instead of sitting in a prison to pay back society, you will be free to do something about it. Take actual action to make up for it. You have a great ability. You can do great things.
Bell stands up and looks back to make a Gout's. You have an opportunity that you may not deserve and many fewer get. As a favor to me, do not waste it. Bell walks away back toward the Honda Civic.
Here is leaning on the hood. How is she holding up? She will be okay. I think she will do the right thing.
And now she's completely free. Just like that? She can do more good out here than in there. So you need me to drive you back to the city when you can easily fly twice the speed?
I always fly around. I kind of like riding in a car. Fair enough. So is it back up to the satellite then?
I do not think so. I have been doing the super team thing for a long time now. I think I want to spend some time off the satellite down here with people. Oh really now?
What people were you planning to spend this time with? I was hoping to find someone kind enough to let me room with them. Maybe? I'm sure you can find someone.
