Clark County’s New Animal Center Moves Forward | Las Vegas News

Clark County’s new animal resource center is relocating from the Tropicana and 215 area to land near Jones Boulevard and Post Road — a move designed to serve southern Nevada’s growing population faster and more efficiently. With space for up to 192 animals, vet care, staff, and a community room for adoptions and outreach, this facility aims to ease the strain on overwhelmed shelters — one that’s currently housing over 470 dogs beyond capacity. Before breaking ground, approvals for zoning, design, and trail realignment are needed, making this project a critical step toward better pet placement and community support across the county.
