Class Warfare, Critical Thinking.

from So You’re Living In A Simulation

Corporations are not your friends. Big tech is not your friend. Multi-billionaires are not your friend. Big Pharma is not your friend. When the news reports that people like Bezos and Zuckerberg have doubled their wealth during the pandemic while the populace suffers, pause and ask yourself how and why. The 1% likes to say we are “all in this together,” but that’s not exactly true. While Amazon, Facebook etc are raking it in, Local Businesses are shuttered, people are taking to the streets in protest while others see no other option but to continue to operate, risking infection, fines and imprisonment in order to survive. It’s easy to point fingers of criticism at your fellow man, but an excercise in empathy might be worth considering. Start with why. Why are the common people so angry? Why are so many willing to risk so much to continue to work? How would you react if you feared losing everything you own and have worked for? If you didn’t have a steady paycheck, or couldn’t collect unemployment and you had almost almost a year’s worth of bills mounting up with no relief in sight? What would you do? This episode also tackles herd mentality and the application of critical thinking skills to current events.
