Classic Material: A #HipHop50 Conversation With B. Cox Of The Vault
2023 marks the 50 year anniversary of what is widely accepted and agreed upon as the birth of hip hop, August 11, 1973. We are celebrating those 50 years with a series of conversations with some our favorite podcast hosts. With hip hop being the most influential and dominant musical genre of the past two decades or so, we believe it's important to reflect on its rich history and evolution. Throughout this series, we will be joined by guests who will share their thoughts and experiences. From their earliest hip hop memories to their thoughts on the current state of affairs, this series will take a fun look at hip hop and its impact on society and culture. In this episode, we are joined by B. Cox from the The Vault: Classic Music Reviews Podcast. We're talking about some of our favorite albums, what it is that makes something classic and discuss some recent albums that we think will be regarded as classics down the line. We end the episode with a game that we call "This or That?" The choices ranged from picking between two classic hype men to which classic album would B. Cox never listen to again if it came to it.Follow B. Cox and The Vault: Classic Music Reviews Podcast on all the things:B.
