John Rosemond argues that parents should not strive to be in a relationship with their children, but rather should focus on disciplining and preparing them for the world. He also discusses the importance of parents being on the same page and putting their marriage first. John Rosemond suggests that parents should not compromise their standards to secure a relationship with their children.  He advises parents of adult children who have cut off communication with each other to pray about it rather than pursue it.
