Clay Courters Strike Back
from Tripp’s Tennis Talk Hosted by Argon Productions
A Double Upset Special was on the menu Saturday at the Monte-Carlo Country Club. First, #12 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas upset #2 Jannik Sinner 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, ruining Sinner's 25-1 start to the season and allowing Tsitsipas to reach his third Monte-Carlo final in four years (2-0). In the evening, #8 Casper Ruud beat World #1 Novak Djokovic 6-4, 1-6, 6-4, allowing the Norwegian to record his first career win against a Top 3 player and sending the Serb packing... to his house down the street. Join me for same-day reaction to this nice pair of semifinal matches.
