This week, the ladies discuss the basis for season 2 of the exceedingly popular Netflix series Bridgerton – The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn. In this book, we follow 29-year-old Anthony Bridgerton on his quest to find a wife. Anthony’s duties as the viscount essentially require him to marry and produce an heir, which he’s willing to do. What he’s *not* willing to do is marry a woman who could ever fall in love with. Anthony sets his sights on the diamond of the season – 17yo Edwina Sheffield. (Yes, we know it’s gross.) However, Anthony didn’t anticipate Edwina’s 20-year-old sister Kate being such a problem. Not only is Kate vehemently opposed to a potential marriage between Anthony and Edwina, but… Anthony is entranced by her – and that simply cannot do.
