Cleansing the Temple.

After Jesus’ first miracle, He begins to minister in public. His first act that John records is traditionally called “the cleansing of the temple.” In this scene of Jesus’ life, we see Him state plainly what God requires from His creatures: right worship. In the Old Covenant, right worship centered around the temple. In the New Covenant, which Jesus was ushering in, He is the temple wherein we worship and are reconciled to God. | John 2:12-22
