Cleaning out the clutter in our homes can be hard and time-consuming. We often keep too much stuff, but getting rid of it is necessary to make our living spaces more organized and comfortable. We can see the story of King Hezekiah in 2 Chronicles 29, where Hezekiah’s mission to cleanse the temple, neglected and tainted by previous generations, becomes a powerful message for our personal spiritual journeys. Hezekiah’s dedication to purging the temple mirrors our need to cleanse our inner lives of sin and distractions. There is an importance in maintaining a pure and orderly life, both spiritually and physically. We all need to engage in self-examination and the removal of spiritual clutter.
