It is important to be settled in how we understand God's Grace. Don't be content in life until you have realized God's portion of grace, and don't be discontented by the fact he might not have gifted you as you would like to be gifted. Greatness has nothing to do with church accomplishments, titles or positions. It has everything to do with faithfulness to the Lord and a constant, persistent endeavor for a deeper walk with him. Authentic Narrative of Some Remarkable and Interesting Particulars in the Life of John Newton, An by John Newton (1725 - 1807) LibriVox John Newton, best known for his hymn "Amazing Grace", for his former life as a slave trader and as eventual opponent of the slave trade in Britain. These 14 short letters cover his early life to about 1755 and are filled with his Christian reflections on the events of his life. Letter 5 contains Newton's description of his life under Amos Clowe, an enslaver, who gave him to his wife as a servant. It is worth noting that this collection was published in 1764 and Newton did not publish his scathing pamphlet Thoughts Upon the Slave Trade until 1788 and thus his letters focus on his life as a "an infidel and libertine" (Newton's own description) than on the institution he later condemned. - Summary by InTheDesert The SYM Podcast Grace Upendo Welcome to 'The SYM Podcast,' where we encourage you to Speak Your Mind on a wide range of topics. As Seen On Grace As Seen On is an anthology narrative podcast about tropes in literature and film. Specifically, we tell stories about the people who are often treated as plot devices and make the story about them. What would a fairy godmother's life be like in real life? What is the manic pixie dream girl's deal? Written by Grace Day and produced by Tessa Faye Talent, As Seen On is Sometimes sad, sometimes absurd, sometimes just poking fun and sometimes deadly serious. We want people to give stereotypes and tropes in entertainment a second-thought. While some episodes might make you cry and others will make you laugh, we hope that each one will start a conversation, even if it begins with “I don’t get it.” RePURPOSE & PUBLISH alice newsome I’ve heard it said that the graveyard is the most valuable piece of real estate on the planet because it is filled with unrealized dreams, ideas and visions.
