Cleo Littleton: Wichita State’s Scoring Legend

Cleo Littleton, Wichita State’s all-time scoring leader and a basketball legend, passed away at 93, leaving behind an indelible legacy that still shapes the Shockers today. A six-foot-three force from 1951–55, he shattered records, earned All-American honors, and helped transform a struggling program into a powerhouse—thanks in large part to his electrifying play and deep love for the game and his teammates. His jersey, number 13, hangs forever as a symbol of his greatness, and his impact continues to echo through the halls of the university and the hearts of fans.
