Welcome to the Tweet Trends podcast. Hey, Evette, what's trending today? Hey, I'm Evette, hey girl, and you are tuned in to Tweet Trends. It's the quickest way to find out what's trending today.

People are doing the most. Let's get started. Today's episode has nothing to do with a national holiday or anything like that. However, it seems to be America's favorite pastime.

And I can't even say America. I think anywhere where there's social media, all of the people in the whole entire world, everybody seems like they are bent on trying to become social media famous. And it's crazy. People are doing things intentionally trying to go viral.

Some people have managed to go viral, and then they try to maintain it by doing some of the most outlandish things that you could possibly imagine, and a lot of them that you could never possibly imagine. And I just don't get it. I don't get what they think they're going to get from becoming social media famous. It will eventually fade away.

You've got regular famous people that sit down and you have a conversation and be like, hey, I wonder what ever happened to you run down a whole grocery list of people who did great things, but what are they doing now? For some reason, people seem to think that social media is the jam and everybody is trying to do the most with the least, trying to get noticed, trying to get clicks, trying to get likes, trying to get followers, and it is driving me up a wall. I try to ignore it, but sometimes you can't go for a leisurely stroll through any of your social media platforms without seeing something just beyond bizarre. Case in point.

My husband and I, we were looking at something. I don't even know what platform it was on, but it was come to find out. It was a proposal. It was at a gas station.

A black guy on a motorcycle, police come in hot to the gas station. Lights on, no sirens though. They pull out, looks like their tasers. They surround him.

It was two or three police officers. The girlfriend comes out of the gas station, comes over there and is trying to get the policeman to stand down. I know him. He's a good guy.

He's back off. Let me try to help here. She kind of goes in between them and is like talking to him. Is that okay?

He reaches into his co-pocket, pulls out a ring and proposes to her. Are you freaking kidding me? That's your way of proposing to me? Guess what?

You would have got that ring back in the face and you wouldn't have to worry about talking to me ever again in life. Kick rocks, lose my number, have a nice life. I was blown away. Even down to the little kid that's level.

I have to reflect back on this because in a sense I'm like, dang, that might not have been the best mama move, but you as your child watched the show. It's this cartoon called Total Drama Rama. My daughter was watching it the other day and the little kids on this cartoon were having a competition to see whose video could get the most likes. Basically, who could go viral first?

The little boy, he was breaking all the rules, doing just dangerous stuff and everybody was loving it. The little girl on the other hand, she was following all the rules and being polite and kind and whatnot and she might get one watch. Looking back on it, I'm kind of like, man, what was the bottom line for that cartoon? Really?

What did my daughter learn about that? We're going to have to go have a talk after I'm done with this episode. The thing is, everybody is trying to do the most right now and it is mind-boggling. I don't get it because what is it going to take for you to maintain that type of momentum?

Once you do go viral, trying to maintain that really? I'm just saying. This is just me talking about Joe Schmo on the go trying to go viral. Now you've got celebrities out here that are doing the most as well and I'm going to talk about a couple of them right now.

Alright, so let's start with Tyreece and his 25-year-old girlfriend. They posted a video on IG of him shaving her nether regions. And I like to say to myself, it's why. Why, y'all?

Tyreece, why? If you were some young little kid, I could understand it. You and your teens, early twenties and whatnot, I'd be like, oh yeah, that's dumb kids stuff. But sir, you are old enough to know better.

Now let me back up though. This isn't about judgment. I'm not here trying to be judgy. I'm just trying to figure this out like why I don't understand.

Here you are in this video sitting center screen. You've got your girlfriend's feet blanking your face, floating in the air and y'all are having this little intimate conversation back and forth about your man hands and oh this that in the third and you got your little razor that you're shaving her with. And why? Why?

I just want somebody to explain to me why help me understand. You know what? No, no, no. Then again, don't help me understand it because if you explain it to me and I understand and then I'm like oh, that's why then I'm going to be looking at myself sideways because I'm like you know what?

This right here makes no kind of sense. Are you needing some money? Are you sad? Are you lonely?

Do you need a friend? What is it that you just need some attention? That's got to be it. And then whose idea was it?

Was it your idea? Was it her idea? Did y'all just together like have that brilliant idea all at the same time and that's how y'all know y'all are like made for each other? I don't know.

Like I said, I don't want to know. I don't even want to know. Less and doing the most with the least is Tucker Carlson. Now him and Tyreese, once again, they have platforms already.

So why it's necessary to act a straight donkey and do these weird outlandish things? I have no earthly idea. But like I said earlier, I don't even want to know, but I got to get it off my chest. So this Tucker Carlson situation, you know, some of the stuff was laughable.

I'm like, okay, seriously, hearing what he had to say, put me on that wishy wood level. Like I wish somebody would come up to me and tell me to take my mask off because it is making them uncomfortable. I wish somebody would. I can tell you I will have a plethora of things to say to them.

Because somebody has the balls to come up to me and tell me to take my mask off because it's making them uncomfortable. Because I can think of a whole lot of things that I've seen in my life so far that have made me uncomfortable, that I've seen that people that he's probably talking to that agree with him have done, have said, have displayed. And yeah, so if we're going to do that, then we need to go tip for tat. And for everything about me that makes you uncomfortable, let me tell you what to do with your stuff because that flag makes me uncomfortable.

The way that you look at me makes me feel uncomfortable. The way that you talk to me makes me feel uncomfortable. So that's just like just shut it up and don't ever open it up again forever because you, sir, make me feel uncomfortable. So that part right there, like I said, was laughable because if you put stuff like that out to somebody, please know and understand that same smoke and fire that you put in out in somebody else's direction, be prepared to receive it back because if you come at me, this is just, this is just me talking, if you come at me with some nonsense shenanigans like that, I guarantee you I will have all the smoke and all the fire waiting for you wrapped up with a nice pretty little bow on it.

So that wasn't even the best part about what he said. One of the things he said is that if you go out and you see someone with their child and their child has a mask on, do you know what he said for people to do? Call the police because that's child abuse. OMG.

Let me tell you something else, Tucker. I dare you. I dare you. I bet you won't.

I bet you won't. I bet you won't. I'm telling you. I bet somebody called the police on me because they've been listening to Tucker Carlson and his shenanigans saying something about the fact that I'm abusing my child because I'm making her wear a mask out in public and it will be a time in the land.

Do you hear me? But that wasn't the best part of it because then he likened the idea of children wearing masks at school events to a teacher punching your kid in the face every day at recess. Where are you even getting this from? Really?

So needless to say, I don't understand it. I don't understand why there are people out there, one, that accept that kind of stuff. They'll hear it and run with it. I don't know because I'm pretty sure that there's going to be someone that's going to follow him up and do what he said and that's just scary.

Alright guys, well that was today's episode of Tweets trends. I hope you enjoyed it. I apologize. It was kind of more along the lines of me being on my soapbox and just, but I had to get it out of my system.
