Cliff Hague

Manchester United fan Cliff tells the story of football and ‘life from wartime to lockdown’ in his book Programmes! Programmes! His collection of 2000 programmes live in a dedicated room in his house. A professor of urban planning who is used to writing academic books, Cliff uses football matches to guide us through Britain in his lifetime, with a focus on the contents of matchday programmes. From adverts to interviews, Cliff has found a new way to give readers a longitudinal study. Find the book here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Programmes-Football-Life-Wartime-Lockdown/dp/178531856X
